To start with it contains the Posturepedic spring system which is the same as the Miracoil system. It is a continuous spring system that most manufacturers used to use, but stopped due to it being so noisey and unreliable. Most of the complaints you see about Silentnight mattresses are actually due to this spring system.
The mattress is also non turn, which will shorten the life of the springs even more.
As for the latex. If it is anything like most of their products then it is a 1" layer of Innergetic Latex (a blend, and not 100% natural latex), and only covers part of the surface of the mattress.
Even at Tescos price, this mattress is way over priced for it's specifications.
Tim, i tried and bought the mattress in the shop, not online. It will be with me in a day or so. So can't cancel. I really need another mattress for the reasons i said before. So am going to take a chance. I did find out that sealy do the same but with pocket springs. Problem is, sealy have so many versions of the same mattress, it's hard to get the perfect one.
I thought Posturepedic were not the same as microcoil. If microcoil is so bad, why do silentnight still use it?Say No to smart meters!

Hi Guys, been doing some reading and it is all very confusing.
Anyone got any opinions on sleepeezzee? Have been looking at this: http://www.bedstogo.co.uk/shop/shop.php?action=full&id=1291
and putting it with: http://www.bedstogo.co.uk/shop/shop.php?action=full&id=90
We move house in a two weeks (unfurnished rental) and it is going to be our first try and buying a bed, but it needs to be quick or we will have nowhere to sleep!! (Don't ask, the snow messing up our holiday flights didn't help our planning!!)
One of the reasons for going with that company is that they are near to where we are moving so I can go in and talk to them and try and get delivery organised with our moving day.

Actually thinking of going for a Latex Rest Assured now...

I have never used sleepeezzee but they sound like the cheap £99 roll up mattresses.
Only found this review. http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews247931.html
If you want to go for the Rest Assured Thia Sky, then don't pay to much for it. This seems to be the cheapest. http://www.bedsonlegs.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_4ft6_Double_Rest_Assured_Thia_Sky_2000_Latex_Mattress.html
Plus bed's on legs have very good reviews.

Tim may be able to give you more info on sleepeezzee.
Other thing.
Edit. Found this mattress video review. You just have to laugh about it.

If you want good quality at a low price, then I would stay well away from big brand names. Instead go for smaller independent manufacturers, nost of who still make them by hand, and take pride in their work.
As for delivery, it shouldn't make any difference if the company is local to you or not. It all depends on the retailers level of customer service.0 -

Kwaichi calls himself a professional blogger. I'm not sure excactly what this means, but I presume he either gets paid for his reviews, or he gets free products for reviewing them.0 -
I'm as confused as most people and have been looking for ages. Read lots of threads here and visited a few local shops. Before xmas I looked in bed department of John Lewis and it was so refreshing not to be given the hard sell. In fact the salesperson advised I made one or more return trips before making a decision and trying each mattress for at least 10 mins if not longer (and bring my own pillow to get the best out of testing each mattress). Also, she pointed out that the samples on the shop floor have been tried many times by customers and therefore to be aware that a newly delivered mattress will, at first, feel different as a result.
I came away with a glossy 37 page brochure produced by the manufacturer of the John Lewis mattresses - called Spink & Edgar - and am even more confused with the various options they produce. I tried 3 mattresses, all double; the 1st at £499 didn't feel good; 2nd at £650 which felt so-so; 3rd at £1,300 oh my word I could have curled up and stayed there for the rest of the day!
So having started off about 3 months ago with a price of approx £400 - £500 in mind I now can't get that £1,300 bed out of my mind! Those of us who suffer aches and pains from a poor mattress decision in the past will know that it's so important to get it right.
The £1,300 had 3500 pocket springs and I'm sure in one of threads I read here, it's not necessary to have so many springs for my weight which is 70kg so I don't understand why it felt so good.
The £650 had 1500 pocket springs and the £499 had 1200 springs which I didn't like at all.fitzroy0 -

(We weren't actually planning on moving this quickly, or in to an unfurnished place, but we found a nice place hence the rush!!)
Will report back on the mattress.
Tim - how would you go about finding and independent manufacturer? As soon as you google mattress or similar you just get lots of hits on the various retailers. Ta.0 -

Most of the bed industry is in the West Yorkshire. So you could start by searching on google for 'bed manufacturers in west yorkshire', but you would have to trawl through loads of referal sites and retailers. Or you could try searching on Scoot. I don't know if this will work, but I've done the search for you: http://www.scoot.co.uk/find/bed-manufacturers-in-west-yorkshire0
