Got mine delivered today, took 10 days in total.
Very impressed, they have got my precription correct, well packaged and delivered in an interesting sewn cotton envelope...14 squid all in.
May get another wacky pair to see if I like them!0 -
Got my hugo boss ones today too, unfortunately the lenses are a completely different shape to the ones in the picture, and don't really suit me (more of a women's style)
I have email them asking if they will replace the lenses, will post back with the result
Otherwise the glasses are perfect
I have never seen anything like the cotton 'box' they came in0 -
I'm going to try opticals4less.com. I have a horrendously high prescription (-12.75/-11.25) and had an eye test yesterday. A pair of Guess specs at £129, plus the thinnest lenses around (1.9's) at £255 plus anti-reflective on top will set me back nearly £400. There are 2 frames I like the look of on opticals4less and either with the same 1.9 lenses with anti-reflective coating will cost me about £115-£120. I wear contact lenses, so only wear my glasses for about five to ten minutes a day , so £400 is out of the question. Going to get OH to measure my PD tonight and I'll give it a whirl!!!!

Goodluck Keren29. Just bear in mind that their customer service is very poor in my experience. Also the 1.9 haigh index lenses you would be purchasing would definitely be in Glass. Yep I do not recommend optical4less either - any problems you WILL be ignored.
[I had to take the ultimate act of consumer revenge to get my problem sorted (all i needed were nosepads!) and that was order another pair, pay with paypal again and then claim they werent delivered and get a paypal refund - bit drastic but considering i emailed albert at least ten times and was ignored every time except for the fake email asking about a potential order, i had no choice. optical4less? more like optical4lessservice].0 -
Got my glasses today from goggles4u. "D&O" engraved on the side. The lenses are glass and chunky, my -7.5 prescription is quite heavy. Quite stylish and well made though for $42 cannot complain. This signature is not mine!0

well..........I went for it. I thought long and hard and spent ages comparing and thinking and chose optical4less.com. The only thing that swayed it away from Goggles was the choice of lens thickness. optical4less offer the 1.9 lenses that I need (my current pair, small frame) had ultrathin put in 6 years ago (best available at the time) and measure 1cm at the top and bottom. My optician calculated the 1.9 lenses would be 5.9mm - a huge improvement, even just for wearing in the morning before I put my contacts in. The Goggles site didn't seem to offer me any really really thin lenses. For the price though, I'm going to wait until the opticals4less pair arrive and might order a pair from goggles if I'm not impressed.
A risk I know.......I'll have to take it on the chin I guess if they arrive broken!"Stay Wonky":D

I'm not too impressed with Googles4u at present. I ordered on 8 Sep and the next day they requested confirmation of my prescription which I immediately sent back.
The order was still stalled so I asked what the hold up was and they stated they'd never received my reply.....hmmm - jury's still out at present : they seem genuinely very good if reports here are anything to go by, so am prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt at present - can't really complain about £14 odd for a new pair of specs after all0 -

Out of interest were your lenses glass or plastic? Does anyone know if their is much difference?
I ordered rimless plastic glassses from goggles4u last night and did not consider the thickness issue-my prescription is around -5.25
many thanks0 -
