Buyers are camped in our garden over Christmas

I am saddened to say that Mrs Mother Clampett has passed away and strange enough, having known her for a short time, we are quite sad, more I guess because we know someone who has passed away
Mrs J (who is more sympathy and tea) has gone back down to collect the Clampetts from the hospital now that they have said their goodbyes.
They spologised for earlier and said on the phone "it was her time". So I don't know what that means but I am a litle on edge that the puppy is now a trained assassin.
Anyway, I have shed a little tear as I was folding the waterproof protector knowing that it will never see another drop of wee again.
They should be back soon. I am in the midst of cooking a meal for 4 of us. Its a bit repetitive having to keep cooking them invididually in the microwave but staring at the huscats ashes on top, I am wondering whether there is any more room in that jar.0 -
They are on the whole nice people
How are they nice people?
They tipped up, without any warning, on your property, hijacked your Christmas, used your belongings without asking first, allowed their dog to crap all over your garden, got you involved with their domestics, used, and frankly, abused your hospitality over and over, haven't offered anything to compensate you or your wife for their intrusion, made massive and inappropriate assumptions regarding your goodwill (moving the MIL in springs to mind there), and are now trying to blackmail you into selling them your house at a reduced rate.
Yes indeed, pillars of society, the lot of them.
Please, for the love of all that is Holy, turf them out, stick the house back on the market and let them deal with their own problems (of their own making, btw) by themselves.5:2 diet devotee, frugal recipe creator, pretty excellent cook, pretty terrible housewife.0 -

Oh my gosh! I was typing out my previous post as you posted this (I'm not completely heartless). Sorry to hear about Mother C5:2 diet devotee, frugal recipe creator, pretty excellent cook, pretty terrible housewife.0 -

Oh well. Life goes on. That makes the stair lift issue disappear...0 -
it is probably on fair to comment on some of these posts
Sad Dog Lady - there is no way Mrs J would "take one for the team". She likes dirty talk and to some degree page 24 of the Joy of Sex has been tried once, but she would draw the line at Columbo.
Others - those who suggest I should chuck them out. I agree with you. If I was reading this, I would advise the same. But we have so desperately wanted to move for a long time and stay in the same area, this means the world to us. We would like to start a family and this is the final piece in the jigsaw, though have the Clampetts stay make wonderful contraceptives.
If you spoke to them, they are deep down friendly people, Today, was unforgivable and I cannot condone their attempt to extort several grand, and I cannot condone dumping the crap outside on the verge. It was disrespectful of her other son to do that, but as the Clampetts said, he had to get to work and losing a job in Devon means months or years of unemployment.
Having said that, my microwaved Beef Bourgenon (sp) will be the last dish I give them as tonight we will sort this out once and for all. I shall keep the tawny hidden.:A
Anyway, the microwave has just dinged so best go down and swap for the next one. Its fascinating to watch the urn sort of vibrate on top of the microwave.0 -
As sad as it is that mrs C senior has passed away. Doesn;'t that mean as the clampets hve no where to live the whole funeral congregation will be leaving from your house? and taking the fact they are from devon thats a hell of a lot of family to out up in your small house.0

And I doublt no exchange will go through now as the funeral will take priority. Having no money spare as they have said on numerous occasions to you and Mrs J, how will they pay for this? .... I sure hope your not to kind to help with the costs or to drop the price to reflect the cost of burying Mrs C Senior x0

oh they are back now. Will update later if I can.0

What a story, I have enjoyed every minute spent reading it, Thank you Mr J :T0
