in a word, shellshocked
Well, I am glad I didnt completely lose my rag earlier.
Poor Mrs C is distraught and starting howling when she saw the huscat ashes on the top of the microwave with the cardboard boxes of the microwave dinners propped up against them ready for the recycling. You know when you mean to do something "later" and then forget. Mrs J shot me her brilliant stares
After the tears, they picked at there food and apologised for earlier. We asked what happened to MaClampett and was told that it was a suspected stroke and her falling over was likely to have been a momentary blackout rather than an external factor. They still have to do a post mortem tomorrow to determine the actual cause of death but she went downhill fast this afternoon but the Clamps got there just in time.
The brother is upset but afraid to come back here to the house after leaving her posessions on the grass verge and Mrs C told me she was mortified "what will the new neighbours think" she added.
Anyway, they said that we have given them true Welsh hospitality and a big sorry for earlier. They wouldnt have coped without us. They dont want a price reduction, they accept it isnt our fault and also thanked us for looking after them.
Mrs C was still shocked when she left and Mr C is now gathering the items from the roadside and bringing them up the drive way to the garage where i said he could keep them. He told me he could smack Brother Clampett for what he did to us
They said that they would instruct the solicitor to exchange tomorrow with completion as agreed.
It would appear that we can call time on this thread tomorrow.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:beer:

Off topic
I would like to go off topic for a moment and share something I think you will find funny.
When I reentered this thread to post, somehow i stuck it into google and came up with a link of a website in Australia about camping.
Quite the anoraks they are, but what they cant grasp is when someone makes a comment about a peg bag (which to a stranger is lost on them) they cannot grasp why people hit the tanks button. I thought I would share it with you
Post 4 made me ROFL.
