  • Mrs C has just knocked on the door in tears. She has just had a call from the hospital to ask her to come back in ASAP as Mrs C Mother has just had "complications" and could Mrs Jones take them (if they pay the petrol) back down. So Mrs J has just taken them (we couldnt not in case she died or something and then we would feel guilty).

I hope they arent wrangling out of moving off the driveway.

I have had some lousy neighbours, but I think having the clampetts next door but one, would be the straw that broke the camels back.

Tell them the sale is off, and find some decent neighbours!!!!!

I suggest that that would be the last time you help them out! They obviously do not care about what happens and are obviously out to try and get what they can out of generous people!

I personally, would tell them to remove their belongings from your property and put the house back on the market. I would also get your solicitor to send them a bill for everything they have done the past few days, and perhaps deduct an amount from that invoice in exchange that they do not take legal proceedings for Mother C's fall (although she tripped on her own sheet whilst putting it on the bed).

Why couldn't Mrs C get a taxi? They managed to get one back from the hospital.

Surely *surely* enough is enough now Mr J! They are praying on your generous nature.

To be honest, I'd have given them the number for a taxi!

While we are all enjoying this thread and having a good laugh, Mr Jones must also be having a good laugh at some of the replies he's been getting.
His writing style is great, entertaining and funny but the fact that people believe this story is equally as funny.
Well done Mr Jones you've made a lot of people smile.......

    They have transport themselves!

Give them the number of a local taxi firm and stop getting involved.

You MUST step away now Mr Jones or the consequences could be really serious (and the possible wind up will lose some of its believability) ;)
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
