Open Device Manager (Windows Key + Pause), select Hardware Tab and press the Device Manager button. Open the Monitors section, what does it say there? This may be the problem.

The graphics card is probably using this monitor's settings, if it says Plug and Play monitor it won't give you any widescreen resolutions. You could always remove the item there and let Windows detect your monitor.

That's your problem - if your monitor driver was installed properly it would show up as an option in a drop down box exactly like post #24. There is a new driver on the Hanns G website - have you used this?

Argh I did say in post 22, I assume Op had installed the right monitor profile. Generic ones dont always work.

P.S. if still no go, here's the driver direct download link http://cms.hannsg.net/filectrl/HW191D.zip (all of 706 bytes!). Right-click on the extracted file & select 'Install'. Reboot your PC.

I found it...clicking on support it didn't load...I went to the US site and it loaded OK from there....I saved it to my hard drive, unzipped it, ran it....still no better!

If I click on Driver Details, it tells me that no driver has been loaded....

Where I saved it on my disk, there is only one file called "setup information". I can open ot as a text file and it looks like this:
