c\n you not tell the seller you have it and if they return the £10 postage they kept from you and give you the return postage also then you will return it to themNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0

I'd ask for £10 for the return postage, remember that's what it cost to get to you, with the time, the packing, the trip to the post office, the petrol, the parking, etc.0

Let's not eh, I sure the op can do without a lynch mob of baying sellers.
But see thats the problem - the buyer isn't even attempting to ask the seller to sort it out - they want to keep the item and the money. No lynch mob here and no baying sellers, just an OP with no morals and members with0 -

BUT they received a refund less the £10, still recieved the item, doesnt seem to want to send it back, doesnt seem, to want to give the seller back thier money. IF the OP said they were going to contact the seller to say they will send the item back if the seller pays the postage and gives the £10 back then there would be no problem.0 -
If the seller had refunded the full price I'd agree, but keeping the £10 just seems that karma has come round to the seller. There's no excuse for that. If they couldn't get out, it's unlucky, but it's not the op's fault, a mutual as the seller couldn't perform, and a full refund to the op, and a refund of fees.
It's a mess, because it was done badly by the seller.0 -
I would treat this item as if it was sent to you under the unsolicited goods act, which is effect it is as the original transaction was cancelled. That is you contact the seller and give them a reasonable time to collect or arrange the collection of the item otherwise you will dispose of it.
If that means that they send you some form of pre-paid postage and packing (the amount should be on the original package they sent the item to you in). Or if they live near you and can arrange a convenient time to collect it then that is what you must do. If after a reasonable time they haven't made any effort to collect their item then you can dispose of it as you see fit.0 -

How would you handle the £10 the sender has kept back?0 -
I would wait and see what the seller said first, see if they realised, and if they do, send the money less a twenty for your 'fees'.0

In the interests of festivities, you know what is the right thing to do. Put yourself in the sellers shoes, what a glorious, generous and most honest buyer they are, for returning my money back to me to over this Christmas period, its the best present I have ever had, loyalty wrapped in a box of honesty. I would most definitely trade with them again, after giving them this glorious and well deserved bit of feedback.
Or you could always be a Grinch and snigger at their loss over Christmas.
Being a strong believer in Karma, as well as Cause n Effect, I would say what you choose to do about it now, will either slap you in the face, or pat you on the back. Either way, you will get what you deserve.

I'm not trying to keep it. It's not in the stated condition and therefore no good to me (and not worth the final price); regardless of OP. The seller refunded so I bought from someone else who didn't have issues posting it. So the original item isn't required; regardless of OP.
I'm away from work for two weeks so can't send it back. I'm not going to spend lots of time sorting out what is, essentially, unsolicited. There just seems something odd with retaining £10, and then there is something idiotic in sending it to me. Clearly, I tried to workout the play before posting here.
I'm interested to know why the seller may have posted the item two days after I received a refund, and any kind of scam involved, that others may be able to workout. I'm not here to be condemned to hell by the righteous.0
