Boxing day tube strikes

As the strike is now over I don't want to continue this thread. Thanks to all who voiced their opinions and were kind enough to listen to mine. For all of Joe public please know that the RMT and TSSA union's (which are mainly station staff) are going to strike for 2 or more days in a row next month. Regardless of what TFL release in the press there will be 900 job losses and these men and women who strike are trying to defend these jobs. They have to put their own livelihoods ahead of public feeling as their families come first, just like yours would. Please do not to complain that these people are always on strike and that they should be grateful for a job (as its that gratitude that actually takes them out on strike). See the more angry Joe public gets the better it is for the union as only TFL can resolve this issue and your anger. As much as we appreciate how difficult it is for you when we are on strike WE will always put our families ahead of you! Sorry

Excuse me gob5hite almighty. Whether i am in management or not makes no difference to how my reaction is, I worked !!!!ing hard over many years to get where i am and i started at the bottom of the ladder where ive been the victim of physical abuse by the so called lovely passengers.
.. You may have missed it earlier when i said that its only this strike that i dont agree with and the timing of it.
Of course given that i have been the lead in the last 2 negotiations with my staff where we have got them something they wanted without striking bears nothing to you because you do not have a clue what your on about do you.
So keep your glib opinions of my role on the railway out of it.one of the famous 50 -

What strike? You were on here posting through most of it.
And you don't want to continue it because you realise that you've very little support.
It'll become even less with the next strike - the strike you're having to welch on the deal YOUR union struck.0 -
Can someone tell me when the lazy gob!!!!!s are planning to go on strike next so i don't end up wasting money on my zone 1-6 pass?
I mean seriously, most people in london would support firing the lot of you and rehiring you with people who actually gave a damn about public transport. There is no popular support for overpaid cowboys who hold the city to randsom. The lame excuses i've seen on TV justifying the strikes make me feel sick.0 -

Rubbish, as a manager your first loyalty is always to your company and if you say overwise then your a carp mananger!geordieracer wrote: »I worked !!!!ing hard over many years to get where i am and i started at the bottom of the ladder where ive been the victim of physical abuse by the so called lovely passengers.
I never questioned your integrity.geordieracer wrote: ».. You may have missed it earlier when i said that its only this strike that i dont agree with and the timing of it.
I didn't miss it, it just wasn't worthy of a reply.geordieracer wrote: »Of course given that i have been the lead in the last 2 negotiations with my staff where we have got them something they wanted without striking bears nothing to you because you do not have a clue what your on about do you.
Good for you, that's your job as a manager and I would question your abilities as an effective manager if you couldn't carry out those basic tasks.geordieracer wrote: »So keep your glib opinions of my role on the railway out of it.

I work for london buses
London underground employees have it cushty no end.
Before it was privatised the buses/underground were paid the same but when they split it up year on year the tube's have got more and more money.
I've nothing against them though. The only thing i'd say is don't you think the busses go through the same thing with pay and holidays? we are no different and infact work longfer hours than tube drivers. We get less pay and have more interaction with the public than a tube driver ever would.
Driving a train regardless isn't hard really is it. Press the dead man's handle forward and off you go.
I totally agree with the comment on how they should provide fully automated trains like the DLR as TFL would save a bag of money and chop half of the underground staff..
The RMT are blood thirsty w4nkers
funny isn't it. Tubes strike and busses take the load. If all the busses went on strike the underground would close as it couldn't take the extra capacityIf Adam and Eve were created first

Yay for bus drivers. You guys have to take some nasty flack off the public right to your face. Seen some terrible things said so i've got a lot of respect for the bus drivers.0

I did it for 6 years. started driving the old route masters at 18 back in 1999.
I'm a modern version of blakey now i.e a controller.
I do drive the odd day here and their for extra ££ but i'm guaranteed to have a ruck with some tw*t moaning about one thing or another.
the public will never be happy that's my viewIf Adam and Eve were created first
