Getting nervous now, there at 9.15 tomorrow, spent all last night redoing a couple of sheets of the paperwork , reduced my council tax by 20 and rounded my groceries to 400.

I have all my paperwork in one envelope and £600 in an envelope next to it, all my remaining cash is in my wallet which is more then i expected as the council have stopped the aoe they had in place so im better off this month but i will contact them to make sure i dont end up in arreas next year and if needed set up a new direct debit in my coop account.

Get the feeling im not going to sleep tonight, i have sleeping tablets from thr docs but id rarther not risk it as they make me very tired in the morning.

    Wish me luck :)

    Hi again

The deed is done, and wow how simple and unstressful it was :), was in at 9.15 and went in to sort out my paperwork, took to the waiting room a few mins later after paperwork was okayed, waited while the lady i was dealing with spoke to the judge then was taken into an inteview room of sorts and told the judge doesnt need to see me as its a straight forward case and declared me at 09.57. i then spoke to the OR who was a very lovely and understanding lady just to confirm my details and even she said this is a chance for a fresh start, she told me to get the halifax account closed (even though my name is no longer on it) as they are very anti BR - i told her i knew, and i was done :jeveryone i dealt with from the security guards to the lady who did my paperwork and the OR was all very nice and understanding and i couldnt of asked to be treat any better.

i would like to say thankyou to so many on this board over the past 2 years as you have been a massive support and help through the whole process.

this has been 2 1/2 years of stress and struggling and it all seems worth it now... strange thing is i thought this is what was keeping me off work but the thought of going back there is still a very bad one.

Moral of the story is it really is as simple as people say, yes the build up to this sort of situation is very stressfull but its really not that bad in the end and it proves there is a way out and a chance for a fresh start.

to top it off we have just got back and ive told my mother in law and she was very understanding (my wife has been petrified of telling her as shes a worrier) and even said they were nearly BR themselves when my farther in law lost his job and is now on disability... they even said if we told them they would of put us up for a few months to get things sorted (i dont think i would of survived it though)

    Thank You All who helped

    GTanny

Well myself and my now EX partner both went BR at the same time, although the letters we recieved to say we are each BR is dated a day apart.
Letter gave name address phone No of OR and said we would be contacted in 6 months.
Neither of us have had any phone calls, nothing at all other than the letter. OK it was in Scotland and LILA (low income low assets)
I still expected a call though as everyone seems to get a call...

Hi Neil, sorry missed your post.......so pleased for you both

As I said to SG, please start a new thread with any queries re your BR, as you will get more answers too.

    Best wishes
