just a tips guys...when my patience had totally gone, i contacted nochex and queried the validity of zudirect.
i was told that allegations of this sort are taken seriously and that it would be looked into.
quicker than a speeding bullet, zudirect cancelled my order and i had a refund in about 3 days.
maybe something there to think about.

My boyfriend and I were waiting on a PSP for my nephew, we cancelled when ZuDirect said they couldnt deliver in time due to the problem with customs, so we requested a full refund.
They told us that they were changing payment processors and there was a delay in refunding our card, this seemed a bit odd but then they asked us would we prefer a cheque, we told them 'just get our money back to us ASAP' That was about 3 weeks ago.................
Yesterday a cheque arrived from them in the post, with an apologetic letter explainig why they couldnt refund our card and it all seems to make sense.
I must admit like a lot of people here I jumped the gun and had them down as rougues, but after my experiece with them and after reading some other 'positive' comments on varoius forums on the net, it seems like this company has just been having some problems with delivery and the festive season will probably slow down the refund process as they are closed until Jan 8th.
If they have told you that a cheque has been posted, then it probably has been, in our case they were true to their word.0 -

Personally I wouldn't be so quick to praise them until the cheque has been banked and cleared.0 -

Your right this does sound a bit odd, if they can still collect payment on products they sell then there should be no problem sending it back the same way. In fact no matter what payment system you chose to use for you business when first using it you will have more trouble taking payments from people then giving it to them for obvious security reasons( I know I've been there). So saying they are changing payment systems now sounds a bit convenient but should not make a diffrence if the company is still trading. As I said if you can accept payment by cc then you can refund by the same source, if you can take the money straight away, you can refund straight away.MissKellyR wrote:festive season will probably slow down the refund process as they are closed until Jan 8th.
I understand what you are saying but if they sent out the refunds like they said they did way before their closing date then the monies would be with their payment system(nochex), and fact that they are closed until jan 8th should not make any difference as they have parted with the money already and then now becomes a nochex problem.MissKellyR wrote:Yesterday a cheque arrived from them in the post, with an apologetic letter explainig why they couldnt refund our card and it all seems to make sense.
Can you tell us what the letter said.0 -

Half way through Nov we ordered two consoles and were delivered one half way through Dec and a promise to refund on the missing one a.s.a.p. Zu offered the cheque option or to bank transfer as this was how how we paid initially. With the Christmas post as it is we opted for the transfer option and four days later the money was credited to our account. Thought i'd post this as it may be of interest to people awaiting refunds, hope this helps and Merry X/mas to you all0

Word of warning to all after a v1.5 PSP; some are coming from China having been downgraded but are TA-082s.
You could be lucky or you could end up with one that doesn't Devhook correctly.
(And before anyone asks, if you don't understand any of this then you don't need to worry)

OK I understand about firmware now.
I got myself a brand new Pink PSP last wek and it is 2.81. Should I risk downgrading? My daughter got a disc with an e-loader and a whole host of games that I would love to be able to play but I am not sure I want to risk it.
Can't really do much at the moment until I can get myself a 1gig+ card. Have to settle for playing Sims2 at the moment (And getting stuck!)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm not aware you can downgrade a PSP with 2.81 firmware. It's possible, but i don't keep up with all the downgrading so much seeing as i'm just using a custom firmware and devhook. Have a talk with some people at psp-hacks.com forum. Some are a annoying, and no doubt get called a " n00b" at some stage but you'll know what to do when someone decent comes back with something to sayformerly mrmilo690

You can't downgrade a 2.81 PSP
I'm not sure if there's any other way other than installing a mod-chip to allow you to run non-umd games. There may be but I just haven't looked as I don't need to.
