  • Just got my despatch e-mail - coming by Hermes. Anyone got any idea how long it's likely to be before they're delivered?

Can't wait to see what they actually send!
  • When I called earlier about my order they said mine was coming out today and I'd have them tomorrow - however I'm actually not that far from their base in Alfreton. If you chose and paid for next day delivery then you should get them tomorrow.

THIS LINK takes you to the normal page for the Chocoholics Hamper which does list what is supposed to be included and gives you the price inc VAT.

    Contains
Milk, Dark and White Classics Box 330g,
    Dessert Gallery 215g,
Milk, White and Dark Continental 175g,
    Metropolitan 191g,
    Chocolate Smothered Fudge pouch 165g,
    Melts 200g,
    Choc-Chip Choccies pouch 155g,
    Moments 250g,
    Continental Chocolat Riche bag 107g,
    Continental Viennese Truffles bag 105g,
    Milk Caramels bag 110g,
    Original Chewy Toffi-Chocs pouch 165g.

It was supposed to be £60 reduced from £120 - they never advertised it as being £30. They could have just cancelled the orders... if you're not happy with them then you should of course get them to do a refund and collect the items as they weren't what you ordered and weren't given an opportunity to agree to the substitution. Personally, though I would have preferred the original hamper, if I get two of the above as they are supposed to be then I'll be still quite happy.

Well mine, which was scheduled for 24th arrived today, and it was pretty much the winter wonderland hamper.

A few substitutions - No fudge and no mints and milk classics and metropolitan boxes were only half the size stated, but in addition I got Winter continental 375g, praline melts 200g and a HUGE box of premium selection (its in the bottom of the box and I can't be bothered to drag it out to check the weight, but it pretty covers the bottom of the box, so 500-600g at least!

I'm happy! The subs seem fair enough, and its a pretty good selection of choc for £30. I'd never, ever pay £120 for it, but I'd say realistically it looks worth £50 - £60 worth!

2 out of the 3 festive figures were broken, one badly, and one just chipped a bit, so the children are sitting in front of the tv munching on them now!

    Merry xmas, everyone!

Mine was supposed to arrive 23rd and didn't. Fingers crossed for tomorrow but I'm not holding out much hope! The last hamper I ordered from them took three weeks (although I hadn't selected a delivery date then and I did this time). I swore after last time I wouldn't order again but this was too good to miss ...........or not?!!!

That doesn't even look like a Corporate Hamper (A bumper corporate gift hamper, with the very best classic and new Thorntons chocolates included. Everything from classic milk, white and dark chocolate, to alcoholic truffles, chocolate smothered vanilla fudge and zesty chocolate-covered fruits, this is a must for your business gift sets.)

Why not tell them you'd rather like what they contracted to provide - or a refund? Let them take that lot back at their expense. They might even let you keep it, because it will cost them more to take it back than it's worth to them.
