Car Hire - too good to be true?

We have booked a car from rentmeanycar for delivery tomorrow, and we paid 332 pounds up front. We now can't get through to anyone on the phone to check that it has been received and to confirm the car hire. I have phoned the police to report suspected fraud and they can't do anything until the car doesn't turn up tomorrow.
If you have already been scammed then please report it to the police immediately so that they can stop their bank account. We have the bank account details if needed, and a police phone call reference number. I phoned the Metropolitan police.
Hi there. We too are expecting a car tomorrow and have paid £312 up front. Was dubious at the time but sadly didn't follow my instincts.

I'll have to look into this, see if the Owner of this company is called Peter Benstean by any chance ?? (the guy who took my holiday money at CCE and then shutdown in October losing peoples 16m!!!!)

When I was given bank account details they stated the parent company was called Diamonds By Design Liimited.

I've got far better things to do with my time, such as trying to get home for Christmas, than posting messages on the internet claiming a car hire company is a scam?

You can see from the domain registration details that rentmac.co.uk is registered to rentmeanycar.com, another scam hire company. It's probably an organised crime gang who've got the money to pay for full page ads in the Guardian and set up a decent looking website.0 -

Even the website for this rentmac looks thrown together from a template.
I do feel for those that have sent any money across, but if by miracle a car turns up for someone, then i'll eat my words!0
