I once forgot to put the end on and gave DS a bald stripe up the back of his head :rotfl:

  • I have girls but when the eldest 2 were little they had curly hair so I could cut their fringes and it wouldn't matter if they weren't straight as they just curled. No 3 came along with straight hair and I just continued chopping with horrendous results :rotfl:And of course demon baby just cuts her own ;)

  • Camera sold for £398 and they've paid instantly :j:j:j
so have requested the transfer to the bank and when that clears, maybe Friday, i can order the oil :D:D:D

We all went to the dentist yesterday so £23.60 for DH and my check ups and an x-ray for him. DD has been referred to an orthodontist as she has molars coming in at a bad angle and also some adult teeth aren't there under the baby ones :(, so looks like braces to straighten the molars and when she's 18 or so she'll need implants to plug the gaps. Our dentist is hoping the ortho will treat her, apparently sometimes they don't like to treat children they prefer to leave it till later.

Need to go to the library today and back to the GP for cream that they had to order, i have developed horrible blotches on my neck, she thinks they may be light sensitive, in rainy, snowy Scotland ?? More like financial stress or rubbish job related!!

Going to check Opus online, today is statement day but i think the system doesn't give them the info until tomorrow. Also phoned Bank of Scotland yesterday, they don't give internet access when your cc is closed, so therefore neither do Halifax , however she did go onto the 'have you considered consolidating' script, yes i have but i have too much credit available and too much of it being used to qualify thank you very much.

Right onwards to see what else i can ebay, need to get the gutters sorted, all the ones at the back of the house came off with the snow, so after the oil that's the next project :D.

  • Well done with getting enough money together to order oil, sorry to hear you've developed a rash hope the cream works!
Why oh why is it when you get enough money to sort one problem out another one arises but i'm sure you will get the money together for the gutters, good luck.

  • Good Morning Debtbusters!

Thanks guys for the support, need to post the camera today, have a box but no brown paper, so we'll need to venture out for that, come back and then venture out again, curses to the price of diesel!

Have done a Here We Go and registered for a couple more of my ccs online so i can look at the statements before the paper ones arrive.
    So today:

    Opus was £5,522.31 now £5,495.83 down £26.48
    RBS was £7,333.90 now £7,276.11 down £57.79
    Mint was £5,933.47 now £5,928.16 down £5.31

so a net down of £89.58 :j, won't update sig until the paper ones come in but happy that again none of these have been spent on.
What was interesting was that on the Mint site there was 'We are not accepting new applications at this time.' on all their tabs, ccs, loans, insurance etc, so i just wonder if that's about to close or pass on the debts like Citi did??? Mint are part of RBS and not only do we both have RBS ccs our current account is with RBS too and that's got the big OD that we are using .

Freezing again here this morning, and even having turned the outside frost thing down on the heating it's still come on, praying there isn't a huge explosion when it runs out...

Right time to go and buy brown paper.

  • Arrrgh, brown paper cost £24.76, well the Up dvd, a couple of board & card games, two bags of Cadburys Giant Buttons at £1 each didn't help....
Made sure we got the largest amount of chocolate for £1 though, the buttons were the heaviest compared to the multipack and the large bar! Still probably cheaper than going out to the zoo or something. This is why i get DH to do the shopping, he's far better than me at resisting the impuse buy!

  • Morning,
Why is it when you sell on ebay you take your life in your own hands and sometimes get complete nutters??:mad:
E-mailed the winner of the camera to say i'd posted it only to get a vicious e-mail back about refunding postage, it cost me MORE not less than i quoted and i took the hit - aaaarrrrgggghhhh:wall:

Anyway if he leaves negative feedback, as he's threatening, what the heck! It's gone with enhanced compensation so hopefully that means i've completed my side of the deal.
The paypal transfer has hit the bank, so do i now take the risk and order the oil???

Nothing more moneywise, think there's another cc statement that should have been done yesterday, so will phone up and get the figures.
Last day of the holidays here, we have the weekend but back to school & work on Monday:(, just wish the weather had been better, roll on Easter!!
