Friends have been, need to clear up, pack and take the dog for a walk, then off to the my brother's for supper and staying in the useless bloke's flat (so taking dehumidifier and oil filled radiator as the bedroom is strangely cold and damp - the rest of it is lovely and warm!).

If I don't get back on, have a wonderful christmas everyone and I'll see you on the other side!
    • Relax, enjoy yourselves and have a lovely time with your family!!
    • If it isn't done now you don't need it to be done it isn't important!
I'll chuck the towels in the wash when I get home, and mop the floor behind me as I leave :rotfl:
Have a Great Christmas one and all!

    To you all......

Just a quick update, all three bedrooms reconfigured, took a lot of time. effort and energy but we all pitched in and did it.

4 HUGE bags for charity shop and tons and tons of rubbish binned.

So mega decluttering as we went along.

DD2 loves her new bedroom, DD1 loves her's, smaller but fine for her visits, we love ours and hubby bought a lovely tv for it so we can watch a bit of telly in bed.

Been to work today, power was off which was fun but tied up loose ends and am now off for a good whle, yahooooooo.:j:j:j:j

Popped into Waitrose on way home and got some goodies, including a fantastically reduced Organic Turkey....lucky me, bit more Turkey than we can managed but we'll put it to good use.:D

Cleaned chicken so they are happy, found 7 eggs!!! They were right at the back of the henhouse.

Hurt my back so being careful and gingerly moving about because it feels just about to pop. Yup I know everyone, don't tell me off, it was cleaning the chickens that did it, a bit of rest it should be fine.

Going to get ready and go to pub in a bit, just to start off the seasons festivities.

Can I just say a special hello to Toot's absolutely lovely to hear from you, so glad you're out of hospital hun. Just take it steady, remember Christmas day can easily be postponed.

Waving madly at Lady L too, just in case you pop by.

Piggers thanks for the bin info, love to you and yours hun, see you soon. xxx

I'm pretty much done :) DH's cold has developed into flu, so we've cancelled Dad and DSis's family coming over. Dad's in his 80s and doesn't need flu, and wee neice is far too vulnerable. So it's just going to be us, and everyone understands which is great.
All wrapping and stockings done and the house looks lovely too, which I am indescribably pleased about. Thank you to everyone on the list for this, and the encouragement and timings.
I found myself casting my mind back to Chrismas/New Year when I was wee, and my mum staying up until 3am wrapping because she'd only started it once we were definitely asleep, and the frenetic clean up on Chrismas/New Year eve. I actually never questioned that that was how it should be iyswim. Wish I could go back in time and introduce her to FL! I even had a few Chrismasses/New Years like that myself. This is much, much calmer. Peaceful times to everyone, and warmest joy and happiness to all my friends here. xx
Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.
  • Ah, just remembered, if you have champagne, stick it in the fridge.... I'd forgotten to until now :o
