Hello Everyone
I never managed Natty68's challenge, got up late, had people in and out the house all day which kept me back. I have done a list for tomorrow with all the times etc everything has to go in and out the oven/on the hob/out the freezer/BM on etc. All veg prepared and stored in fridge and puddings made and stored in the caravan fridge, table all set, just need kids to go to sleep so we can fill stockings and put their pressies out, I am soooooo excited, I LOVE christmas, its the one time of the year all the family can sit and catch up and relax without worrying about life and how busy it is!!!
In case I don't get on tomorrow, I wish all my fellow flyladies a :snow_laugVERY MERRY CHRISTMAS:snow_laug:xmassign: hope you get all you wish for and have a fantastic time with your loved ones
Thanks to Piggers I am confident that tomorrow will go as smooth as possible, I have never been as prepared!!
Nite all have a good Christmas Eve xx:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Toots Thank you hon. He's decluttered to bed with a hot toddy, waterbottle, sudamed, vicks on hsi feet (I am sure I learned about that here) and parrots. Hopefully he will feel more human tomorrow. If not, we have a contingency plan. Hope you have a lovely Christmas dear. xx
Fedupandskint Ham/cola. How do you make it? The only time I ever tried I completely ruined a ham, and haven't dared to try since. Would you be generous and post your recipe?Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -
Tooch lock the door, when they come back in they can't just wander in and mess the floor
Greenbee I think you're right, just ate one and it felt greasy on the outside and the dark chocolates have less of it. Puppies are such a tie but if you have people to help they are such a joy too.... I have to stop myself getting one all the time
Completed the shopping but forgot a couple of things, lemonade for my tipplewaaaaaa and golden syrup which I usually use on my ham so thinking of a sugar/honey glaze instead.
Housework - I need to vacuum round in here, then a once over in the kitchen/front hall, I've got the bathroom to do but that will be done when I go for my shower. Then I need to tidy/clean up the kitchen which I left half of not done because I didn't want to destroy it with the mess from preparing the food for tomorrow
DP did the LR windows and vacuumed the stairs and living room, he got the tree out which DS2 decorated
VERY productive shop, I've ended up getting some right bargains. My poor farmer had lots of orders cancelled so he let me' have one half price. Basically in addition to what I wanted I got free free range turkey, liver, veg box, additional sausages. Then got some bargains in M&S too, I used M&S as Sainsburys was absolutely chaotic and I had M&S gift card left.
Turkey is cooked, ham is in the slow cooker, stuffing made, veg prepared, pigs in blankets prepared, need to roast the ham tonight, might make pudding batter too
Off to do some wrapping!!! Never wrapped this early beforeOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Good Evening lovelies and a fine Christmas Eve it is too.
Thanks to the support of you wonderful people especially Pigpen and Toots I am as ready as I need to be for the events that unfold tomorrow. The presents are wrapped and all under the tree, everywhere that needs to be is clean and tidy (apart from DD's room again but she's working on it!), any food prep I am doing (not much) is done and best of all DS is home and DH is not working this year.
I am therefore going to sign off now and have a glass or two of wine and put my feet up (Santa has already dumped the bags of pressies for the sacks in the corner of the living room in case she is too tipsy to go upstairs and get them later on!)
I wish you all a very
Special wishes for Lady Liberty and Toots for a peaceful Christmas
Love and hugs to all
Kazmeister and the krew xxMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Took presents down to the hospital this morning then helped in reception a bit as they were desperate. Got my eye checked and its an infection so got ointment for that.
Went to DDs for a cuppa then came home and put the joints in the oven. There is such a lovely smell drifting through the house. Had a shower and have got my xmas jamas on.
The house is looking good so thank you to Team Flylady!

Of course I can, here we go then courtesy of a domestic godess.
Pop an unsoaked piece of gammon in a pan that is quite tight fitting
Add an onion cut in half
Pour over full fat cola no diet versions here, bring to a gentle boil then cook gently with the lid on for....
Cook for time as per instructions eg 2.5kg for 2-2 1/4 hrs
Take out and remove most of fat and rind leaving a very thin layer
I then chuck on some apricot jam, spiced orange and apricot chutney or marmalade over the leftover fat and rind and cook for around 15-20mins in a very hot oven Gas mark 8 until glaze has blackened
Leave to rest and then carve off slices for tea, sarnies, pasta and peas, ham and turkey pie etc etc
Slice thinly when cold and can freeze for up to 4 weeks also
Ta Da.........!
Still drowning in hampers here - better crack on with the finishing touches to free up some time tomorrowfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
