Good evening and a very Merry Christmas to all flyladies and their families.
I didn't do as well as I'd hoped, but the LR is clear and decorated, my approved food order has come and I've found a home for most things. Last minute shopping got, ham cooked and yummy sarnies decluttered, with some chocolate cake to follow.
DS2 is now in bed and I can get on with stuff. I'll need at least a couple of HHCs in kitchen and DR each - otherwise we won't have anywhere to eat tomorrow and I won't be able to cook dinner. Then it will be time to wrap, with a little drink on the side.
I hope everyone enjoys their Christmas Eve and has a wonderful and peaceful day tomorrow. Special good wishes to toots, Lady L and Diva.

Thank you for that hon. I'll give it a try with the gammon I have in the freezer. We certainly have loads of coke thanks to DS1 who seems to be teenagedly addicted to it!Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -
Dusty Been thinking about Mum a lot. DD has Mums xmas things out and I was looking at them tonight and remembering how much she loved xmas.
This xmas will be the rawest for you I'm sure. I have Nan's wooden deer on the mantle for Christmas and find them very comforting. I have lots of her things in the house, a couple of chairs, one DS2 has in his room and uses every day, her dresser which we ues as a shoe/gloves/keys cupboard and some bits and pieces of kitchen stuff. As lamewolf said it is a lovely way to remember people by using the things they used to have. I remember you visiting your Mum at Christmas and the fun she had. Huge hugs for tomorrow xCompleted the shopping but forgot a couple of things, lemonade for my tipplewaaaaaa and golden syrup which I usually use on my ham so thinking of a sugar/honey glaze instead.
I use either honey and powdered mustard or soft brown sugar and mustard.
Glad I haven't mopped the floor yet:
DS3 dropped a bag of stuffing mix on it
DS2 filled a bucket with water for the reindeer and it had a hole in it so soaking wet floor and choruses of 'there's a hole in your bucket' :rotfl:
DS1 decorated the yule log with chocolate flake and icing sugar - need I say more.
Needless to say it need a good hoover and mop now.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Visitors have now gone so I need to tidy everything away while we're waiting for the kids to go to sleep so we can bring the presents downstairs.
Have a wonderful Christmas all my fab friends. I'll probably catch you on Boxing Day.
Piggers - have a great birthday in case you don't get on.
LadyL - have a great Christmas celebrating your DS's 21st.
Love and hugs to all

:xmastree: Merry Christmas to all.
I have finished my list, just waiting on the kitchen floor to dry and then i can give the surfaces a wipe down and thats me done.
I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow, and raises a glass to those who wont be with us in person but will very much be in our thoughts. Dusty/Boddy I use mums Christmas table cloth as it reminds me of all the meals we had together sat around it.0 -
A last hour hour to sort the kitchen floor, unhide some presents from the big guy, and then I'm on my way to candlelit Midnight Mass and lighting of rather a lot of candles.
Have a peaceful and joyous Christmas everyone,

The 2nd post came today!
First time since we have lived here. THANK YOU for the flylady cards!
Little ones in bed. Very tired and excited.
I had a very painful morning at fracture clinic having my ring finger manually rotated without anaesthetic. I saw stars, the moon and the hospital floor as I blacked out with the pain! The plaster cast is off and I am now strapped up and splinted. The pain is lessening now but it is still troublesome.
DS1 is still very swollen from his oral surgery. He did manage one of DH's pigs in blankets!
Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas xxx0
