    Happy Christmas everyone :)

Had a lie-in and read a trashy novel as I was too tired to get up and rush to get to church for 9. I've had breakfast and I now need to get moving so that I can get to my DBs roughly when they get back from church!

Have a wonderful day everyone. Remember, its about family and friends, not food or presents... so relax, and don't worry about the cooking (more wine always stops people noticing the problems) and if presents haven't arrived, then its just something more to look forward to.
  • Saturday - CHRISTMAS DAY!
    • Bag up all the wrapping paper and put it outside!
    • Delegate pot washing/DW loading!
    • Slice off the remaining meat and either freeze or refridgerate for tomorrow!
    • Save remaining cooked veg for stew! It can be frozen if you don't want to eat it in the next few days.. or sling it in the crock pot with the carcass for stock!
    • A quick S&S over the kitchen should see it looking fabulous again If you leave it by New year it will be a tip!!
    • Wipe the table/table cloth
    • Put the best crockery/glasses away, or just out of the way so it doesn't get damaged.
    • Quick wipe over the hob should see it sparkling again

All cleaning done and up to date

About to start the food preparation and cooking!

nice and chilled morning waiting for family to arrive later on this morning

Have a great day everyone - lots of love

Might be back on tonight later on to see how you all are

Morning everyone on this Christmas morn. :D I'm actually enjoying this Christmas morning for some reason..oh I know it's cos I am not fussing about and getting ready to go to the inlaws for dinner. I had a lovely lay in, and Dh bought me a nice hot cup of tea in bed and kept the dogs away from me till I got up..bless him. I am now listening to Paul O'Grady on the radio and am about to go and have a shower. DH is walking the dogs, when he gets back we are going to have a short drive to the crem up the road and pop mums flowers on her plot. I wonder if she knows I am thinking of her at this time..!! Then back to the house and the warmth, where we will open out presents while the turkey crown is cooking. We are going to share preparing the veggies etc.. Hopefully sit down to dinner about 2ish :) Then doing absolutely nothing all afternoon apart from watch trashy t.v. or snoozing on the sofa :)

Hmm am liking the sound of this Christmas day even more ..lol

Ok onwards and upwards - off to my shower!!

Hugs and love to everyone, especially LL, and dear Toots xxx

    xx Merry Christmas Everyone xx

    Morning all (oops! good afternoon!)

    Happy Christmas!

and this from Flylady who has (no kidding) been flying. I have bedding on the line (seriously) and I have just done a bit of ironing (seriously)...

Usually I have a long soak in the bath on Christmas day (I have no food to prepare/cook other than whip the cream for the trifle as we eat elsewhere) but, because my shower is so new, I'm planning a shower instead...

We don't set off until 3, I've got to find SOMETHING to do...and I've done DS's puzzleball

In true MSE style though some of the Vallikids gift cost £0!

Many thanks for my cards whichh arrived yesterday. I hope you ALL have a lovely, restful holiday and I will raise a glass to you all later, and especially in my thoughts will be Lady Liberty, Toots and Lamewolf - already thought of Wolfy as I listened to Lucy in the Sky - take care all!

Going to read the thread now whilst I listen to The Beatles BLUE album...my worn out cassette of it was discarded YEARS ago.

Blarg............ 3 hours kip is not good for the head.. I am so tired I feel sick!

Baloo up, fed, opened a couple of presents and is back in bed.

Paper shredded, bagged up and ready to be rammed into a bin when I find shoes. Mother pig ready to go in oven.. I'll do that in a sec, just uploading video of the carnage to lappy..

I remembered about 5 minutes before opening gifts that I had left DD3's main gift in the wardrobe.. oops!
