    Evening all,

Had a lovely day today, although I had to drive my Nana home before the Christmas dinner, as she had gone to sleep and woken up completely disorientated in my Mum's bed, and had an early dinner on her own as she wasn't feeling well. She seemed to have absolutely no idea that it was dinner time, let alone Christmas dinner, so the change of routine obviously hadn't been good for her Alzheimers. :( I also had a bit of a disaster, as I dropped my encroute on the floor when I was transferring it to a serving platter, so it ended up a bit of a mess. It still tasted ok though, and a bit of dirt (it was my M&D's floor not ours) won't hurt me, and if it does make me ill, it'll save me the bother of exercising before the wedding dress fitting.:T:rotfl:

Despite asking for money rather than presents, we seemed to have an awful lot of presents from everyone, including some yummy sweets in really good kilner jars, that were made for us by my sister - oreo truffles (very yummy), coconut ice, and peppermint creams.

Moon bought me (with his £5) a small toblerone, 4 lindor truffles and the silicone spatula that he got whilst I was with him the other day. He seemed quite pleased with the gifts I got him (with £5) - cheese (wensleydale with cranberries and white stilton with apricots), alcoholic ginger beer, bath olivers crackers, alcoholic ginger beer, a tube of winegums and a giant purple quality street. :money:

I think the plan tomorrow is to go to Ikea to get some chests of drawers and possibly bedside tables for the bedroom, as we have been given money by my Nana, Moon's brother and his Mum. It depends on what time we get up and if we can be bothered to go on possibly the busiest day of the week. We're going over to my M&D's for dinner again tomorrow, so will have some more of my encroute - my sister liked it, and my Dad thought it was ok, but my Mum didn't like it at all, so hope Moon will help me finish it off. I must admit, it was a lot drier in my Dad's fan oven - think I'll be making some gravy to go with it tomorrow.

Well I'm off to fly in the bedroom and clear up the hair straighteners, makeup etc from the bed after my cup of tea and catch up online.

Hugs to everyone, and hope your days have gone well.

We've had a lovely day and DH's uncle has only just gone! My kitchen is a disaster area - DH swore he'd clear up but hasn't; I offered but he's still going to do it, just not sure when lol. I did vacuum this morning but it was just to make it look nice for the uncle after all the bits of sellotape etc from the kids opening their presents so quickly :).

Hope you've had fab days xx

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.

Had a lovely day, pottered about my kitchen and quite enjoyed myself getting everything ready...got a lovely pressie from hubby, not as bad as it sounds...two knives...:rotfl:...but I had requested one, a Santoku...and he got me two from Global, so I've spent my days slicing and chopping and cutting whatever I can get my hands on.:D

Anyway I've broken with tradition and not had a drink which has made the day really pleasant, plus I know I won't have a hangover tomorrow.:j

I think one of the reasons I've been so chilled today is of course the flylady collective influence and support.:happylove:xmassign:

Been a real pleasure to be a home today and we have friends over tomorrow so there isn't much to do in terms of tidying as its all quite done.

Hope you all have had a great day, whatever you've been up to.

    BTW...No Soappie, I don't write the eggs on a chart...I'm not that organised.:rotfl:

Happy Birthday, have a wonderful day.

AGS has broken his remote control helicopter!! seems he flew it into the book shelf, and has some how snapped the back tail rota thingy, so off to look for something to fix it with!! (3 hours that lasted, but he is still doing his magic tricks, and wants me to take him to the beach so he can earn money off the tourists doing them!!)

    Have a lovely day

Hugs and best wishes to you all xxx

    Morning ladies,
I hope you all had a lovely day whatever you were doing?

We had a quiet day, but pleasant, and we caught up with family on skype.

DH is still in bed, but he wants to go to the Trafford Centre this morning. Not sure how busy it will be, and Utd are playing at home later, so it could be crazy as people park their cars there.
Anyway, I am off for coffee no.2 and the WM is on. I might just go mad and do HHI. :D

    Happy Birthday Pigpen
