:bdaycake:Hoppy Birdday Piggers
Pretty much a normal Sunday here - usual tasks being done; weekly check over of the car (oil, tyres, wash bottle and such like) and Mr LW's weekly ironing stint.;)
Max is snoozing on the lounge carpet (lazy git, he really is!:D) having done his own "decluttering" outside, earlier on.:o He had the only present there was to unwrap in this house - his owners had sent some pigs ears along for him, so he had one yesterday, and he can have the other one later in the week (it was a pack of 2).:o
I'm on about my 4th cup of coffee - keeping going with caffeine and sheer bloody-mindedness, same as always.;)
I hope everyone's having a good Boxing Day.:beer:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon allHappy Birthday Pigpen
Hope you all had a great Christmas. Not caught up with the thread since there is so many posts
Well most of the Christmas prep paid off, I just forgot to buy batteries for DD's cameraHer's takes AAA and I only had AA in
I've also lost the AAA rechargeable ones I had. Which reminds me I also need to top up her phone...once V1rg1n send me the password as I've just locked myself out of the account
DD has now gone away until Thursday evening to see her dads family so I'm now doing all my 2011 prep (budget, putting dates in my diary etc) and enjoying the peace & quiet:rotfl:
I'm off to review Martins budgeting etc tips and look over where I've spent money this year. I've way over spent & I really need to get myself sorted out this coming year.
Catch you later :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Happy birthday pigpen!!!
I hope you have a lovely day! With all the snow etc, I didn't buy and post something this year, so please accept this virtual cake and my very best wishes!
Lateish start to today, and I've been lazing, reading and eating chocolates.:D I'm going to try ringing my Dad now - I tried several times yesterday afternoon, and just got the ansaphone, so think he either had a headache, or was having a nap. My brother and SIL went over yesterday morning, and my sister and her family are there this afternoon, so he hasn't been on his own all the time. He was of course invited, but refused point blank to go over to my sister yesterday.
Love and hugs, especially to toots, lady-liberty and lamewolf. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
~Good morning everyone  Hope you all had a lovely Christmas - ours was very relaxing, and we shared the evening with friends
We're off out for our traditional walk soon, then home to leek and turkey pie that DS is currently preparing :T
Happy birthday Pigpen :bdaycake::rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Back in from path clearing and thawing out.
I've been in this house for 40 years and I don't ever remember having such a problem with ice on the path.
It's icicles along the guttering dripping down on to the front step and path and I'm ending up with a thick layer of ice and ,yes, I am salting it.0 -

Can you not open a window a chop off the icicles over the door with a hoe or similar.
It might be safer to try to do this rather than let them fall and hurt you.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down.
