    greenbee we're getting a puppy...
I know... I'll just come and live with you...:D

hex - fab gingerbread house :T:T I think I've worked out the chocolate moulds - I was using dark chocolate to make most of the shells and lost a high proportion. White I didn't lose a single one. It has occurred to me that dark is much less flexible than white, so try using milk or white for the shells. Keep the chocolate just at tempering temperature over a pan of hot water than you can warm up every so often. Fill the moulds, bang them quite hard on the work surface until bubble stop rising, pour the excess back into the bowl, turn the mould upside down and keep it there until the drips stop, then scrape off the excess (keep the edge of your palette knife/scraper clean otherwise it drags). Chill, fill, then top with more chocolate. Deal with bubbles, then scrape clean again and chill. You can keep putting the scrapings back into the melted choc.

    Making florentines now :)

hex - fab house tell him well done.

HHC overran but i have - hoovered upstairs, made up FIL bed, stripped the other beds, changed one, hoovered and dusted hall, put empty boxes into the garage and two bags into the bin cant believe i am still finding things to fling after the amount that went out yesterday. Off to load the WM and then start on the bathrooms.
  • Arghhh - can't find the mop anywhere, so kitchen floor needs to be a hands & knees job. All gussied up for church, so it'll have to wait until I get home - but the end is in sight.

Hex, I have to add to the house praise, it looks amazing :T to your DS1.

The last xmas present has arrived...after I had spent half an hour hunting round the house for it, thinking it had already arrived :o. I presumed it had been one DH had picked up from the sorting office over a week ago as it was ordered on 1 Dec. Am very glad I decided ordering something on the 12th was pushing it and got something else instead.
Hope all those others out there waiting for presents (or think they have put them somewhere safe!) are as lucky as I was today!

DH has called to say he'll be on the next train home, so must get the final pressie wrapped for him...well there may be two if I bother to retrieve and wrap the one he discovered and went to work this morning wearing, worse than a child!

LR is strewn with wrapping paper so need to get on with a declutter!

    Hi folks hugs all round.

Toots~ not too sure I am happy to read you are clearing grit, I thought you were suppose to be taking it easy?!

All these homemade choccies sound wonderful.

Adopted grandson has gone to bed demanding ear plugs as it goes mad here at midnight, so some were found for him...2.5 hours to go!!

Got short changed today and the cashier knew he had done it as well, so me being me, I refused to shift from the till, until I got all my change, 10 mins later he handed it over after I threatened to call the police. I would hate to think by the end of his shift how much his till is up / in his pocket, I wont be in that supermarket type shop again.

Chicken for lunch tomorrow, with veg.

    Take care xxx
