Morning everyone, still sitting here in my pj's and feeling pah!!
I have a confession I HAVE FAILED MY OWN CHALLENGE! Do you know what though, I don't care..lol. No seriously it actually doesn't bother me for a change. I am putting things in perspective, and because I have been ill this past month I would have had to have been superhuman to have got ready for Christmas like I normally do. So I am taking it kind of slowly today - well slowly as in lots of HHC's..lol. I have a lot of wrapping to do but can get on with that when DH is home tonight, so he can cook tea. Was hoping he was going to be home early - as in early afternoon, but it looks like he can't get away until normal time now. So he won't be crawling home until gone 7pm.. Just when I need him to help me..
Anyway on with my first HHC - have to get dressed and showered. I don't need to go to the farm for a cucumber, that I forgot to order, I am sure we can manage without a cucumber..lol
Does anyone fancy joining me for a HHC?Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

When the dog-sitting coordinator brought Max yesterday, she also brought a box of chocolates, from Sidney the Schnauzer.:D Apparently his owners really like the way we look after him, and were so grateful that I could have him for an extra day. Bless!:DPenelope_Penguin wrote: »ETA - sorry, can't remember who recommended it, but can a say a huuuuuuuuuge thank you to the inspired suggestion to wrap gift in gift bags - much easier and quicker.
as the bags can be reused year after year!
Parcel was my birthday present from my mum which has arrived a couple of weeks early. White chocs with chestnut filling in the fridge, coal brought in from the car to the shed, oil filled radiator in the car ready to take to the flat. Guess I should have a shower then clean/pack/make florentines and generally make sure that by the time visitors arrive I look like a domestic goddess (and can do a bit of work in between to make it look as though it has been effortless!).
lil-me - check the ingredients on the chocs, but most of them won't have been damaged by freezing/defrosting apart from cosmetically, so should still be useable for cooking purposes. The grey bloom on them is just the fat separating out.0 -

Lamewolf - how nice of Sidney's owners.
Well the carols at the pub last night went well - my friend and I didn't join in with the singing, but sat at the other end of the pub and caught up whilst her Mum joined the choir.
However, this morning, I started to think about the future after having been discussing it with said friend (Moon and I were meant to be starting a family after the wedding), and started to worry about lots of things (the real possibility that I won't be able to find a permanent position to get maternity leave as teaching jobs are hard to come by, where we would put the baby's nursery and if we'd have to move etc etc), and I tried to have an adult conversation about it all with Moon, who buried his head in the sand, and then went out! (I'm assuming to buy my christmas presents as he claimed last night that he still hadn't got me anything.) I'm meant to be meeting my friend for a drink in 20 minutes and I'm really not feeling very sociable now!Plus, after the drink, I've got to go to MrT as I realised our milk is use by today, and when I get home, Moon's horrible brother will be here so I won't be able to resolve the argument and we're going for drinks with other friends in the evening.
Have decluttered a bit in the living room so the place isn't too messy when FW BIL comes over, but I'll have to leave the rest for today. Moon did a bit of hoovering this morning, but the place still looks untidy.
Sorry for the rant and moan - I know other people on here have far more important issues, but I needed to talk to someone, and I know I won't get a chance to speak to anyone else today.

Natty - less of the F word please. You inspired me to get done so I am having quality time with the boys instead of stressing.
Toots - no firm diagnosis (prob fibromalgia or psioratic arthritus), no further tests. Rest, keep warm, no running, no stress. It is manageable as long as I dont over do things. Thanks for asking :A
I wish I hadn't pointed out about the Thorntons free stuff as everyone seems to be having so many problems

Hugs sexym - don't stress about it - it could take months to get pregnant anyway and what will happen, will happen - whatever happens you'd sort it out - just enjoy Christmas and getting married and let nature take its course.

Natty - I've got everything ready for the big day as that is what the challenge was - but I'm not ready for this evening yet which is when I do the catering! However I'm a lot less stressed than normal and everything seems to be coming together so that's a big achievement for me.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Ok that HHC was a bit longer than I thought..lol. But I was constructive - First of all I rang DH at work and cried down the phone at him. Would you believe it I was getting upset because I hadn't done any homemade mince pies..lol. Oh and missing my mum and basically feeling like carpe.. Bless him, he took it all in his stride and wasn't too bothered if upstairs wasn't tidied - his words "we can shut the doors upstairs so who cares!", but he wanted the bed changed and hoovered around up there. Downstairs I can do this afternoon as it isn't too bad as I have been keeping on top of it.. Just have to pick up the gibble..etc. I then phoned my friend, cried down the phone at her and consequently am now going around there in a tick for a cuppa and a chrimbo biscuit once I have wrapped her present. Then tried to get hold of another friend, who has been rather elusive this week, but still no answer - so will wrap her present and leave it ready to take over when I know she is in later. Took my meds, got showered and dressed and feel better! Going to shove a towel wash in the machine and then go to my friends for an hour - must be back by two at the latest. Will pop in the farm to get some eggs on the way back, and call in the chemist for some more cold medicine so I have plenty over Chrimbo.
Hugs to all those that need them ~ SexyToots lovely to see you posting honey, was worried about you. Sorry that your plans have had to be changed for Christmas, ours have too. As I imagine a load have unfortunately, although our snow is almost gone..but too late to change the arrangements back to go to the inlaws.
Julijim glad the challenge helped you honey, but not a good idea being stressed about tonight. Can we both be stressed together..lol
How has everyone else done with the challenge?
Going to have a quick juice, some more cold tabs then pop to friends across parkMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️
