  • Glad your dad has a diagnosis, Helen. Hopefully treatment will follow swiftly.
Well I need to take the Christmas cake down to my friend (then only got the presents to carry tomorrow) and get to the shop for milk, but the snow has just started again:eek:

    Merry christmas eve everyone :santa2:

    Jobs for today:

Wrap, wrap, wrapping (am happy to be doing this while watching TV/ festive films)
Clean kitchen again! Managed to make a right mess while baking yesterday.
Get the last lot of laundry for the week out of the machine and onto airers/into TD as necessary.
More ironing...I will make the new year target, I will.
Hoover everywhere...DH has been saying he would do this since last weekend, I've been leaving it for him, but it's starting to get on my nerves now. I'll leave it until I've done everything else though as I know he's leaving work early and it may get done by him then.

Hugs spoons and sticks for those in need, and an echo to the thanks to Pigpen, Toots and Soappie, for getting us all going, and thanks as well to all the other lovely flyladies for keeping us all going.

WM just finished so I'll run off and join the back end of the HHC.
  • Morning! How has there been nearly 3 pages of the thread since I went to bed at gone midnight?!!

Toots - lovely to hear from you; sorry yourplans have changed but have a lovely quiet day and look after yourself. Love and hugs x

Helen - great news; so pleased for you

    Juliejim - brilliant!

I'm off to the cinema now but will be back for an HHC or 3 this afternoon x

We walked to the shops to get nuts for the bird feeder. Hoping the woodpecker will come back. We had a redwing on the firethorn yesterday too which was lovely, had to look it up in my RSPB guide to be sure, but Dustys comments helped. I spent my birthday money on a couple of those poles with multiple feeders on, Aldi have them fairly cheap in Spring.

DR and hall are now done and the tablecoth is on the table so I can start putting things on there.
Kids' presents are down from the loft as they have gone to visit my grandparents with my mum so they are stashed in our BR and the door will stay closed.
WM and TD are both on the go.

Hopefully DH is going to hoover the stairs in a min - if he can tear himself away from his paper - although he has washed dishes and made breakfast this morning.

I think the kitchen's next on the agenda.

ETA Better make the crumble first - not much point cleaning the kitchen to make more mess again!

Ex/OH/not sure what to call him right now :o called so didn't get the chocolates done before my call. Postman came while I was on the call ... so I've done the shells for the chocolates, they're in the fridge and now I need to go and pick something up from the post office. I'm not expecting anything... but the dog will be happy with the extra walk!

Might make the florentines when I get back :D... after I've had a shower though. And I need to hoover, wash floors and start packing up.
