  • I was in for treatment all of last week and only got home late on tuesday - I had a few set-backs so its taking me longer to get back on track.
I am not ready but Christmas isnt really happening for us this year due to the weather (minus 15 tonight!)- no heating at my DB's - and them all having colds and bugs! so I wont be going anywhere and will catch up as I go along.

next I need to look at the lists!

love and hugs to you all

    toots xx

    Morning, toots.:hello:

Lovely to see you posting again. I had a feeling you were going for more treatment before Christmas and hoped that explained your absence (did try to check with Anw's but her box was full)
Sorry about your xmas plans, but better you stay warm and away from bugs.
Can someone make sure you are stocked up with the necessities (and treats:xmassmile)?

    Morning everyone.

Wrapping finished and the house is pretty much done, even had a clear out of our bedroom last night. MIL rang this morning to say she can't make it which is a shame, but she is going to BILs instead so at least she isn't on her own.

Today is going to be making stuff - we still have gingerbread house to make, and DS2 wants a chocolate log. Need to make mince pies and sausage meat.

Greenbee - I struggled with the chocolate too, just couldn't get the kitchen temp right so I went with truffles. DH took them to work this morning so I need to make some more up later, probably freeze them if Granny isn't here to guzzle. I sent DS1 out for greenery yesterday and they made some pretty displays with church candles on some big gold chargers so thanks for that idea.

Good to see you Toots, hope you sort out a Christmas meal.

I'VE FOUND THE KEYS! - they've only been missing 3 weeks!

Were my Christmas labels with them? Still can't find them but at least my desk is clean and tidy and the recycling bin has loads of paper in it:D

Off to the shower, breakfast first I think and then bathroom cleaning is first on my list.

    Morning all

Last night didn't quite go to plan (do they ever...) as DS2 was invited to friends down the road and I went with him. When I got back and finally had him in bed I just took at the carp from the hotspot in the LR and dumped it in the DR. Not the best way, but I wouldn't have finished otherwise. The tree is up (can't find plug for lights, so that's one to sort today) and decorations are sorted for DS2 to help me in a bit. No wrapping done yet, but I'm still hopeful to be done by teatime.

The plan for today depends quite a bit on the phonecall from Thorntons. So far it's

HHC in LR to finish hoovering/dusting
decorate tree and locate plug, or put other lights on
last bits of shopping (keep remembering more, so )
cook gammon for tea - we usually have it on sandwiches with other nice things
    bake (or buy) cake/mince pies
a couple of hours in the DR so we can eat in it
a couple of hours in the kitchen
    wrap presents

If I start now I can get this done!

Oh, must find out when BIL and SIL are are MIL's so I can drop cards off if they're not coming on Christmas morning.

Frazzled? Moi? Never... Food and another cuppa, then I'm off.

Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating, and a lovely weekend for everyone else!
