Well I had a post and now I've lost it, darn..
Am ready for the Man in Red, prezzies wrapped, turkey cooked, sliced and lurking in the freezer. Veggies prepped, in a bucket of water in the garage.
A very Merry Christmas to all at Flylady, a festive Yule to those that do. Ditto to what Dusty said, even posting my own random stuff. Thanks ladies x
Ended up staying flying for a bit longer after attempting (well I hope it's worked) to fix the washing machine that decided to be festive displaying flashing lights and refusing to work. It's done the last cycle ok and I've just took the drawer out to clean and scrubbed the inside where the drawer goes too which was absolutely manky!
Anyway LIVING ROOM, DINING ROOM AND HALL/DOWNSTAIRS LOO DONE!!! Well apart from high level dusting and vacuuming which DP said he will do while I am out shopping tomorrow.
Kitchen, upstairs bathroom and if time....(which I doubt) our room left I think....off to grab piggers list and see if anything jogs my memory that I STILL need to doOne day I might be more organised...........

Hello everyone
I am very impressed to see so many of you getting so organised!:T:T:T
Just a few comments from my quick skim of this week's thread
LameWolf belated happy Winter Solstice - hope you celebrated in appropriate style - sorry to learn of DH's sister's passing - my condolences to you both. Hope your next 4 legged guest has arrived safely and will keep you company.
Kazm thats wonderful news - a long time coming but I hope it makes Christmas much more relaxed for you all (never should have been allowed to happen though)
Ishtar get more rest and leave DH to fend for himself -My friend met an elderly English lady (in her 90's) while on holiday in Jamaica - the lady was living in a hotel - her one piece of advice was "Dont let him spoil you - he isnt doing you any favours" - her husband had spoilt her and when he died she didnt know how to cope on her own and ended up living in the hotel - it works both ways - dont spoil your DH he needs to be able to know how to cope!
boddy hope your eye will soon be better - thanks for the texts xx
sammiell (((hugs))) honey - get mad with the others and get them helping- you should not be overwhhelmed by their mess - do the absolutely necessary stuff first - prioitise everything - ask yourself "whats the worst that can happen if I dont do this?" - be brutal with yourself and leave stuff for another day.
mudders soft (((hugs)))) are you trying for another Christmas being waited on? you really going to have to do something about your drink problem! hop its not too painful and stays straight xx Sorry to hear DH is poorly - hope he still manages to cook dinner tomottow!
greenbee I am sorry you are thinking OH is now an EX - I hope it comes right for you both - the Festive period is not a good time for relationships of any kind so maybe things will settle after the New Year. Excellent words from Dusty.
Triker (((hugs)))) xxxx get the ready prepared stuff - remember you cannot afford to get worn out - its more important to be relaxed and having a nice time
G&B hi honey - lovely to see you - hows littley? sorry to see you are poorly - reads like a 'run down' list - be kind to yourself (((hugs)))

I was in for treatment all of last week and only got home late on tuesday - I had a few set-backs so its taking me longer to get back on track.
I am not ready but Christmas isnt really happening for us this year due to the weather (minus 15 tonight!)- no heating at my DB's - and them all having colds and bugs! so I wont be going anywhere and will catch up as I go along.

Toots so glad you hare home again, I missed you. What a shame about your Christmas plans. I hope your DB and family can get the heating fixed soon Will you at least be able to go to church, see your friend A for a short time? I hope you can take this time to rest and get back on track. Lots of love xx
DH has been snoring all night and I've had stomach ache and I'm now hungry so thought I'd get up and enjoy a little peace and tidy my desk with a cuppa and a biscuit. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning Maxonian and Happy Christmas Eve to you and all who follow you
Desk all tidy
crockery out to wash
table linen out to press
Going to sort out all the receipts in the drawer next so that I have the ones to give with a couple of presents.
Christmas pudding looks fine and Dandy (got DH to set the alarm for 2am and to go downstairs and take it out the AGA)The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning Dusty:wave:
I've been awake for ages, DH snoring and the pain in my face are a bad combination:o
Lovely to see you Toots:A
Have a fairly busy day planned, need to -
Make doctors appt

Collapse in a heap with a baileys:beer:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Morning all
Toots - lovely to see you posting. Hope you manage to have a good Christmas even if you can't get to DBs. Do you have food 'n stuff in?
Flipping cold night last night. Ended up taking a hot water bottle to bed! I really must stop being so parsimonious with the central heating...
Into work this morning but it'll only be a half day. It's one of those silly things that if you go in, you get sent home at lunchtime and don't lose any holiday entitlement but if you take the whole day off, you lose a whole day's holiday! Have a lovely Christmas Eve people - don't fret if stuff is not done, just improvise!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
