Evening all, sorry been AWOL for the past 36 hours or so as we have been plastering/filling/sanding/painting our living room and kitchen:eek: It looks lovely now:D But was a bit of a chore, also put up some lovely new cream venetian blinds.

Just doing the big cleanup now!

Went to TK Maxx - i love that shop and got some nice new teatowels, towels for the bathroom and a fruit bowl. Will clean the kitchen then put all my new bits and pieces out.

Also acquired a new ironing board from my mum, she had her old one in her garage:money:

Hope everyone is ok, only skim read the past 2 pages or so, hope i havent missed anything. Hugs if i have:A

    Hob
    Bin area

    Bathroom
    S & S

    Other

    Helen

Sammiell - make a drink, grab paper and pen, go to the bathroom and lock the door behind you, sit on the floor and cry, then drink your tea/coffee and make a list room by room of what needs doing, walk back downstairs and gather tribe together and start delegating - take no crap from them [AnWsMum has shown me the light!!] Mine have just lost 2 presents from the list Father Christmas has for repeatedly play fighting and it ending up with one of them hurt so after 2 warnings I've told them about loosing the pressie - peace and calm in there for the mo hehe

I am happy to report that the oven door and all the trays and racks are clean and shiny. There are a couple of black splatters on a tray that I can't get off but they are soooooooo much cleaner. I used br!llo pads, they are amazing. Oven pride will be going inside the oven in a bit and hopefully tomorrow I will be able to tick it off my list :j

We are off to friends this evening to drop parcels off but thinking I might call at Mr M's on way back (they are open until 11pm) I can claim my £30 voucher and spend £40 at the same time plus drop off plastic recycling and get diesel. Will all depend on how long we gas for!!!

Sounds like one of my trips out, like a military schedule, hope it works out for you x

Been where you are many a year and it is so not worth it. If you don't have to drive tonight and don't have a problem with it now is the perfect time for a glass of wine ;)

  • Evening!

Got up to find DD clearing the snow from the patio so the splats had somewhere to go out today. They've been glaring at the white world from the kitchen door for days now and they aren't happy. She then did her room - and stuff all else all day!

Kitchen is clean/bathrooms clean/hall, landing & stairs clean. Just living room rug now - it desperately needs defluffing.

Decluttered manky teeth - I am off to the specialist as it would appear that it isn't due to lackadaisical dental hygiene, but possibly either RA or the steroids I am prescribed to deal with it. But it is definitely an ongoing condition that can only be controlled, hopefully into remission, not cured. Bah. Another one. Never bleedin' simple, is it?

Bloke due to come and fix the shower (phoned out of the blue at 8 this morning) never showed up. Called 10 mins ago to say he'll try to be here early tomorrow morning. 50p says he takes one look and says it needs to be replaced, but doesn't have one in his van.

Parcels for DD (PJ's & bedding for Xmas Eve and new shoes) still not delivered. Unable to get through to depot, as would love to point out to them that the 3 roads between them and me (long roads, so I can't walk it!) have been clear for all but one evening when the snow first came down.

Collected 3 little packets from Post office enquiry centre thingy - too big to go through letterbox apparently - well, one might have been, the rest would have fitted, but at least he didn't dump my present to myself (a posh watch) on the doorstep. It looks very nice!

Cleared snow from front path this evening. The sulking cats decided that seeing me do that was worth standing on the cold white stuff they've been so disgusted by. Little so and sos gave no indication that they even noticed it. Could have done that beforehand and at least been slightly amusing about it!

Since then have been incapacitated by a bad back for the first time in years - think I might have done something nasty :(

[searches for remainder of bourbon from weekend]

Only three more days to go!
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
