Mudders - poor you! Brings tears to your eyes doesn't it.... <pollyanna mode on> at least it's not your wrist like last time...

Get some ice (or a bag of peas or something) and slap it on your nose immediately whilst sitting in an armchair, head back and feet up! That's an order.... A medicinal brandy or glass of something alcoholic is prescribed as well xxxx

Having caught up with the thread (mostly) after a busy evening I am now having a little snifter before hitting the hay. My thigh that bore the brunt of my bruised dignity yesterday has been protesting all day (purely muscular) particularly where stairs are involved (curiously the "down" action more than the "up" action).

I dread to think what it's going to be like tomorrow. I had to go into my little loft on the hunt of a document (still not found!) this evening. As I positioned the ladder, I managed to dead leg the bottom of that very same thigh by failing to see the corner of a small cupboard in time. I have a beautiful bruise developing there now as well.

I discovered some arnica cream in the first aid drawer (left over from my sprained ankle last year) so I am going to liberally apply it before turning off the light.

Sleep well ladies, be careful out there xxx

Soappie - I wonder if there is something in the air tonight....so many accidents. Hope you're ok soon xx I've got a friend who works in a&e so i'm going to pop and see her in the morning and see if I need to do anything. Top lip now numb! And yes, it's not my wrist so i'll join you in the pollyanna moment! xx

OUCH Mudbath, hope you are ok...I have broken my nose twice so know how you are feeling..not helpful but very little you can do apart from the painkillers...hope the pain eases soon xx

All food shopping done aaarrgghh £36 for a turkey???......I did buy it as everyone loves turkey but will be having a rethink for next year as we will have considerably less money then.

Fridge, microwave and all small appliances cleaned, DW still working...a miracle in itself.

    Xmas cake iced.

Tomorrow will mostly be spent wrapping...OH working 2.30am till 6pm:mad: Very glad we did the shopping today.

Have posted DB and sis in laws xmas presents a week ago but totally forgot about her birthday on Xmas eve ( i got her card craft stampers and her fav chocs but not sure if safe to post these or not???? they live on Bournemouth so they will be late anyway...If I was to put them in a shoebox and wrap in brown paper would that be ok ???????...I will ring to let her know either way.
IF anyone can advise as I can nip to town to post tomorrow if thats ok.

Still need to make more mince pies as LO has been asking for more...may do that after wrapping.

Still waiting for 8 presents to arrive ..1 ebay and 7 from Amazon :(:(

All I've managed today is work, chicken corn, pellets and straw bought and the rest of the evening helping hubby fix the new door on the bedroom, we were hoping to move in tonight but too tred and it's too late to move furniture.

I may mooch up to the 24 hour asda now to get some bits and pieces, then its done and hopefully no crowds.

Oh and its been snowing more.

Huge hugs to all the poorlies, Mumof 5, Mudders, Soappie, JoJo, and everyone I've missed.

Special hello's to Lady Liberty and Toots, hope you guys are doing ok and can manage the festivities, thinking of you two. xx

Thanks as well Soappie re the 'roast dinner' comment, loved it, put it in perspective.

Oh and my newly discovered Uncle wants to visit but I don't think over the christmas period, possibly new year.
