  • Well I broke the back of the wrapping last night (so I will get to bed at a decent time on Christmas Eve) but i gave up when I lost the sellotape.

So today I need to find the tape or buy a new one!

Keep missing the soap and glory big offer in Boots - DD2 texted to say that they were back in yesterday - but by the time I got there they'd all gone!:mad::mad:

Still awaiting 4 Amazon parcels and one from my mum!:(:(:( Thank goodness the kids are old enough to understand!

My sister was supposed to be coming today but she's cancelled due to flu, so I have an extra day to get stuff sorted!

Many hugs and spoons where needed!

    Morning all

Hope the poorlies are feeling better. The arnica cream seems to have helped my bruised hip and thigh. I shall slap some more on before I go to work shortly.

    Have a great day ladies

Morning everyone, hope we are all doing okay.

    Mudders
I do hope you're feeling better
Soappie what are you like? Bruises like that can hurt so much. :(
Kazm so pleased to hear your news, now you can really enjoy Christmas :D

Have been up since 6.30am watching Chris Evans do his Radio 2 Breakfast Show from York - it is being broadcast live via the red button on the t.v. Yep I know I'm sad..lol. I did do some productive things though, while watching/listening. I wrapped up the "Thursday Girls" presents all nicely and have put them in a gold bag to transport into town today. I'm also burning a lovely Yankee candle next to me on the table, Hot Buttered Rum - mmm very christmassy :) Ooooh reindeer on the t.v. - they look lovely :D

Love and hugs to everyone especially poorlies, injured, LL, LW and Toots.

Ooh talking of Toots is she okay? Haven't seen a post. Are you in hospital honey or are you staying with your Aunt/cousins.?

Morning, awoken feeling slightly nauseous, hoping it'll pass.

Today is D Day really because I don't want to be working and fretting about stuff tomorrow. So I best get a wriggle on and start my list, it'll involve, work, shops, food shopping and bedroom moving oh and wrapping things up.

I want the big fat ginger in PPs post for Christmas :j

Today is d-day for me as well. MIL may or may not be arriving first thing tomorrow so I want everything finished tonight. The house isn't too bad after my efforts at the weekend but our room and the kitchen still require more than an S&S. Lots of HHCs today.

I wrapped most of DS1s presents last night so just DS2 left to do, after a subtle enquiry into who wanted ninja and who wanted special forces hamsters.

Hugs for the poorlies, especially Mudbath

Looks like I need to master the art of delegation! I shall get dressed, feed the birds and then get the turkey out (freezer is in the garage) before starting a HHC at 9.15.

  • Natty - your comment about Chris Evans broadcasting from York helped me make sense of a text on my phone from a mate who went to see Johnny Saunders last night!

  • Morning all,

Am feeling a little better but not right.....

Guests arrived on time, and had a pleasant evening. They have now gone to catch a ferry to Ireland. It just means I need to change the bed and wash their towels ho hum.
Cat no3 has just brought a bird in.....i managed to shoo her into the conservatory and open the door. Then the bird started to move. She has come back in, so I've just abandoned it in the conservatory still with the door open. I hope it finds its way out. I'll go back later when I'm feeling brave, and hope there isnt too much poo.

    Off to find a list.....
    Yesterday is history
    Tomorrow is a mystery
    Today is a gift
That's why we call it 'The Present'
  • Hi everyone,
Went shopping yesterday and was in M & S getting a few last minute bits. I saw some crackers that said they were on offer at half price. When I got to the till as the assistant got to my crackers (wallace and Grommit ones for the grandkids) I said "are they coming up at half price" as I had had issues with offers before ironically it was with the same chap on the till. He said "they are £12". I said "No, the're half price" which addmitedly it did say £12 on the till. When he asked did I want them I said "No not at £12. It was busy and I was feeling stressed so I did not pursue this but later on thinking about it the penny dropped that this meant they would have been £24 full price. lol. I checked on line and they should have been £6. Wish M & S would get their act together sometimes.
