After looking around at lots of places, she's finally decided to apply for costume design (she fancies period dramas
). Loughborough was a Textiles Design course. Costume is difficault to get into, but the job prospects for graduates are excellent, and she has a great eye for design and colour, and loves watching things such as Downton Abbey
Fingers crossed she gets in, but we can now relax, at least until interview time
Good luck to your DD, one of my best friends did costume design as her degree at Central St Martins which I understand was excellent.

but how do you do Marmite gravy?
Marmite gravy..... really, just however you usually do gravy, with a good dollop of Marmite added.;) The way I do it (look away PenPen)is to use vegetarian gravy granules as normal - 3 spoonfuls for the 2 of us, to 1/2 a pint of boiling water, and I put a spoonful of Marmite in the jug before I add the water, so that the Marmite dissolves in. The spoon I use is an odd size, btw, sort of halfway between a teaspoon and a dessert spoon. I have no idea where I got it, it's not part of a set or anything, but it's extremely useful for cooking.:D
Today's tasks all done now - HHYoga has been done, plus 15 mins of balancing exercises, as my knees have been more than a little wobbly of late, the legs have been defuzzed, and the photos have been put on the photo album flash drive.:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Ooh - another way of making marmite gravy, is the way my MIL does it. A couple of teaspoons of cornflour, a teaspoon of marmite, a teaspoon of tomato sauce, and a tiny bit of mustard. Mix together with boiling water in a cup.
Another load of washing put away, one in the TD and one in the WM.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
I'm in for the night now, its slippy as anything underfoot, I'm shattered and X has just sent me a picture of DD asleep on the bus :rotfl: I get the feeling not much will get done tonight except the end of the shopping being put away, and a surprise I have for DD being sorted
Asda was MENTAL  I've never seen it so busy, then they reduced some of their fairy lights to 50p (40 normal fairy lights) and it was like someone was handing out £20 notes one staff member said :rotfl: I admit, I couldn't resist the bargain and bought 8 boxes but I have a cunning plan which I wasn't going to do because of how much it would cost me, but I've afford it now with such a great bargain:money:
I've also finished my Xmas shopping...I think. I'll triple check later :rotfl:AND I remembered some PJs for DD so she should be happy

I'm ready for our visitors. Everywhere spick and span except our bedroom. If I can just keep it like this I will be happy. I'll give our bedroom the works tomorrow.
Was feeling rather smug about not needing much shopping, but have run out of kitchen roll, and will run out of cat litter. Will have to brave Mr T tomorrow.Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift

I have got some silicon moulds to have a play with too. I made some salted caramel truffles earlier, the bowl scrapings are lovely.0

Was meant to have a nice sleep without alarms but I woke up to OHs snoring just after 12 and couldn't get back to sleep. Gave up after an hour and slept on the sofa. He hadn't realised I wasn't in bed, snuck down at 7.30 and wondered why I was up. I have been told to nudge him until he wakes next time!
We have just come in from the cinema. Went for a meal after and it was disgusting, luckily we only paid for the drinks and starters, we hardly touched the main so I would have been disappointed if they hadn't done so well on the customer services.
Monday Mayhem..- Clean the oven ready for your feast! I have convinced OH to help me with this. I really can't bake my fairy cakes in it until it is clean. Will put the racks in to soak in a sec.
