We've had such a lovely afternoon. We went to a nearby common in all our snowy kit/waterproof trousers etc and took our plastic sledges and had a fantastic time whizzing down 2 big hills!!!! I went on my own (very fast!), with DD on my lap (fine til we spun around and I sort of somersaulted over the top of her!) and with DS on my lap (slower than just myself but managed not to squat him!!) It was such fun and I feel years younger for it. Pip our Jack Russell thought we'd gone bonkers I think and kept chasing us! Then we went to SIL and had a cup of tea and chat so all good.
Got wrapping to do tonight and then have done everything on the list [STRIKE]apart from ironing[/STRIKE] which I'll also try to do. Oven is on for fish and oven chips so easy peasy tea.
Who was it said Christmas dinner is really just a fancy roast with a few gifts - that is so true and thank you so much for that!!!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Hmm Central School of Speech and Drama is now ringing a bell for me, I may have been mistaken and it may have been that one not Central St Martins? (years down the line memory is not always the best! I just remember the Central bit for certain) I'm happy to report my friend is a freelance costume designer. If you'd like me to get any more info for your DD please feel free to PM me and I'll see what I can do.0 -
Hex - silicon moulds aren't bad... I lost three out of 12. And you can use glitters and dusts in them too (my coffee ones are gold
). It's just a pain washing and drying between batches. And I suspect I might have a rather large pile of broken chocolates to eat by the time I've finished!

Hi all
Hope everyone is OK - thanks for your good wishes yesterday. Migraine seems to have gone, but it looks like I've caught DSs tonsillitis...probably the reason for the migraine TBH. Still, I've got some migraleve now, so next time I'll be ready.
I've been working through the lists and have added in my today's list. Can't wait until 2.30 on Christmas Eve, that's my deadline. If it ain't done by then, then I ain't doing it. I've promised DD that I'll take her to the Christingle service at the church. She's decided that she wants to be Christian and wants to be Christened. OH and I are Pagan - we decided to let her choose her own path...
