I remembered I forgot someone of my xmas list, posted cards this morning so THEY wont get there...
I shall JUST blame it all on the menopause I think;)
kids are off, I am n ot so house resembles disater zone.
I taught my 'babies' how to make snowflakes this morning and then octahedrons...one girl went mad so hers is an icosahedron (with input from miss;) - bless her, she has dreadfull eczema on her arms and her school shirt was covered in blood spots.
I am laden with smellies:D, and wine:D, and chocs:D and a couple of rather stylish mugs:D and some sticks in oil:D

I second that! We don't iron and it saves so much time. We don't look like we've been dragged through a hedge backwards either. I just dry everything for 10 minutes, shake and hang. Voila! This year we've had the iron out twice I think.I think a better idea would be to give up ironing, just think how much money it would save (board plus electric to power the iron) AND your carbon footprint will be much improved
It's the way to go

Not yetI appear to have a 24hr bug and can't look at food, let alone help with baking
Hoping to be better tomorrow, and we'll do it as soon as he's in from school - they finish an hour earlier for the end of term :T

Hope you feel better soon. All kids finished school here on Friday. They go back on Tuesday 4th though. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hope all the bugs gets better soon for those with themMy mother said it took AGES... train to Cambridge stopped everywhere, and then because it took so long it terminated there. Separate train to Lynn, no one knew when they were or where from - the one that actually went was showing as cancelled on the board. All the staff at Cambridge were stroppy... but she got home eventually! So it may take about twice as long as normal...
and I still darent ask if he has to do it again tomorrow. I take it your mum is safely home now ETA just reread the bit about her home - doh! are they driving down next time?
I munched some more and made another mini snowflake because I was feeling [STRIKE]bored[/STRIKE] er creative. Have lost my get up and go with the thought of work tomorrow.
Need to go and finish putting the last few bits away in the kitchen then get ready for bed. Dont want a late night as may need to be up early again and will need to de-ice the car for work which took 20 mins this morning.
So will shut down now and then I cant be tempted to get back on and ramble.
Love and hugs to all xxMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Penpen hope you feel better soon, been a gastly bug going round here which comes with an awful high temperature
lots of baba's in hospital
Like my twin Mudders I iron only when required, it's all in the dryingI've used it once this year for Hama beads, DS1s shirt once and DP used it on a shirt. Even my suits don't need it usually, everything I buy my first thought is will it need ironing.
Anyway ....... Where was I up to...... Oh yes IT IS FINISHED!!!!! Boys bedroom done, play room done! All clean and tidy..... Just the rest of the house to do! All of the old stuff is now in the garage waiting to be sorted to tip, charity or car boots..... Will sort when it's warmer as it's parping freezing out there!
Big get home safe vibes for those still needing to travel today, we've got away pretty lightly so far up here with the snow. I know boddy and poohbear land has some but less than some of the midlands/southern areas. One day I might be more organised...........
