Hi ladies,
I'm home after some scary :eek: driving and its snowing again, so maybe tomorrow I'll have a snowday. Need coffee to calm the shakes, then food...and maybe DS needs food too
Serious flying from about 6.30..
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
Afternoon!
Well, other than a vacuuming of the whole house and wrapping presents (which I will do when they eventually turn up), I think we're pretty much ready.
I am evil though - as DD & I were shopping (and I got her two items of clothing from the local Goth Shop, just to be sure, as her presents aren't here yet) I scooted into the nearest dentist and booked her in for tomorrow afternoonDarling child refuses to brush her teeth, so this should be good!
Negotiated with house builder for them to replace the faulty downstairs shower, which he's going to do :j
If there are any more problems with the milkman not delivering, I shall have to pop out on Xmas Eve, but that's about it.
I'm sure I should be more stressed than this...
Oh, good heavens! Cat food.....I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Thanks again for the Birthday wishes. We had a great time at Damon's and I had some great presents. The best one was from DH, it can only have come from him............... 4 numbers on the lottery

Hurrah :TDustykitten wrote: »Greenbee I don't like giving advice on other people's relationships for I don't think we never know how others feel. His wife will have gone through a whole range of emotions in the past 6 months as will his children and his parents/her parents their wider circle of friends. We know your side but there could be a thread on another forum with her posting and if we 'knew' her we may feel for her just as we do with you. As a friend to you all I can say is you are using up one h£ll of a lot of emotional energy on this and none of that will affect the outcome. As Dr Phil would say we all do things for a reason even though that may not be clear to others. Take time out, take time to be you and try to declutter the whole situation from your mind for a wee while.
More wise words from the Dusty One :Asockdrawer wrote: »I am seriously considering making our home a shoe free area. Ugh Ugh Ugh!
 Do itI have a shoe basket next to my outside door; we all remove our outer shoes as we come in and young guests do the same
Adults sometimes wipe their feet insted, but that's fine as they usually appreciate whether their shoes are dirty or not, and act accordingly

Greenbee - I can't add anything but really feel for you. DH took 3 years to make his mind up between me and the ex 22 years ago. It was the most awful process.
All my calls are done, I've been booked for a webinar in Januaryso I just need to send one more email, then I can go and light the fire and do some of my own stuff. I do want to try to get some work writing done tonight... I haven't done much over the last few months
and have pages and pages of notes/mindmaps to collate and use as part of my research.

Evening everyone
Sorry but not had chance to catch up with the thread but a big thanks to the ladies who "do" the thread
Its so cold here and the roads are terrible and the driving that i'm doing for Mum [shopping and hosp visits] is really tiring me out and I'm getting nothing done here!! I'm so behind with everything now - I sound a meany but I'm just whinging although I do think I'm gonna have to say to Mum that she will have to take a taxi to the hosp tomorrow or I'll just drop her off and pick her up later and not do the visit bit. Dad is looking slightly better and hopefully gets the results of his CT scan today/tonight and then we'll know more.
Off to do something meaningful now - not sure what though as I can't decide where to start!

She also took the mirror off the wall and tried moving the cabin bed!!!!! She has been made to promise not to try and move furniture by herself...hope she listens!!! I dread to think what could have happened if the wardrobe fell!!!!
DD has wrapped a couple of pressies for DSD but I am WAY behind.....will try and get on with some this evening............xx0
