    In my HHC i -
    S&S'd the kitchen
Emptied WM and put another load on
Depooped the cat litter tray - Newton has a dodgy tummy at the moment as i ran out of his usual food and delivery took ages due to the weather so had to get him supermarket stuff:eek:

Rehomed some random stuff lying about
Stripped our bed, will remake it later
Was going to do some ironing but a leg fell off my ironing board:rotfl:Will have to get a new one.

I've got a little list, yes I've got a little list.

    Monday:
    Wrap remaining presents.
Post last Xmas cards oh dear, the post boxes are still full
Look up new antibiotics Don't drink :( and be careful in the sunshine. Chance would be a fine thing, eh?
Weather contingency plan for Wednesday as meeting ex workmates for meal Remember: avoid Broad Street anyway as Prince Charles unveiling statue and going to the German Market.
    Laundry: clean bed linen.
Check for clean towels and sniff test sleeping bags for those that don't bring their own. As they don't wash up or make any useful contribution during the festive season, they can put up with a slightly stale sleeping bag! Ah, that reminds me...

As far as I know no problems on the KL - KX line but there are problems on the Peterboro line and people are being bussed part of the way.
Thanks. My mum called and said she was at KX but would have to change at cambridge. I think it might take her a while to get home. I hope my dad manages to pick her up OK! They're coming back again on Thursday.

Sorry DH is having such a hard time... hope he doesn't spend too much time in the pub!

Well Christmas presents and my Nana's birthday present (her birthday tomorrow) have now been delivered to my M&D's house. I couldn't put them under the tree though as my Mum hasn't labelled any of the presents that are under there yet, so my Dad told me to leave them in the bags so as not to spoil "the system" lol. I also forgot to take my Dad's bar of fruit and nut (small gift - wrapped too) as I'd been keeping it apart from the other presents as they were near the fire and it would've melted.

Flying then - have emptied and reloaded the DW, cleaned the kitchen worktop about 5 times in between various bits of cooking, rearranged the freezer so the bottom drawer now only accomodates the encroute, decluttered the desk (taking any bits of paper that weren't needed to Moon's fire bag), fed the cat, and collapsed in a heap at the computer.

Think I'm going to have a cuppa and put my feet up until Moon gets home from work in about an hour. There's got to be something on TV hasn't there?

Still no sign of snow - just lots of rain, which is making the ice patches really slippery - hope they don't freeze again tonight, or there will be chaos on the roads around here. We are going over for drinks and nibbles at a friend's house tomorrow evening, and going to the pub along the road on Thursday night for drinks and carols, where I'll be meeting up with a friend from school and her parents who I've not seen properly for about 5 or more years! Looking forward to both. I may be seeing some other friends who I've not seen for years on Wednesday as well, as everyone has come back home this year for Christmas.

Well I'm off to put the kettle on now.

    Hugs all round.

    Still left to do today:

    Monday Mayhem..

    • Make sure the last of the presents are wrapped I will not have people sitting up while 5am on Christmas morning wrapping!
    • Clean the oven and hob ready for your feast!
    • Change any bedding you need to get washed before the fat guy arrives.. and I do not mean the OH/parent/ etc
    • Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself.. reading.. relaxing.. goggling... remember you are important too.
    • Dust round the whole downstairs
Wrapping will be done when kids are in bed, bedding will be done in the morning so I can get it washed and then to the launderette and back on the bed for bedtime, will dust in a minute. Oven, hmmmm... we'll see!

Can't believe how much progress I've made today, the flat looks so different to the bombsite it was this morning!

Off to make lasagne for dinner and do the dusting!
