Greenbee you need to put all your energy into yourself now and he could really do with doing the same. Christmas i would think will be the breaking point for him, the pressure of family and everyone stuck in the same place. He could go 2 ways, 1 he remains a doormat or 2 he stands up for himself and say's enough is enough. If he goes down number 1 road he's not worthy of you anyway.

Greenbee, <<hugs>> not a lot I can say about such a carpy situation except do be kind to yourself. You seem to be spending a lot of time and energy on others atm, so perhaps it's time to think of you and your needs? Thinking of you hon.
    Totally agree.
Great pity that you will be working with him whatever happens.
Hugs and do take time for yourself.

Hi everyone. 2 days to complete lists then work for 3 days weather permitting.

Am so glad I did all my on line xmas shopping before end of Nov-even if i've not done anything much since.

    Tuesday - Time's nearly up!!!

    Iron yesterdays wash mountain
Vacuum through downstairs.. and the stairs!
get out any special christmas crockery and make sur eit is all clean and nice to use.. placemats etc too!
Declutter your desk.. if it is anything like mine it is full of receipts and invoices!

Start thinking of those resolutions you will be breaking by the middle of January! lol
Don't forget to feed the pets!.. Mine had a bag of turkey giblets they helped themselves to!
Enjoy your day with your loved ones, spare a fewv minutes thought for those who cannot be with us this year and who have lost loved ones.. I wish you all a happy, joyous, trouble-free fabulous New Year!! Without you lot.. I wouldn't be here either xx

Well the reason I disappeared, was not because the chestnut puree made me ill, but because I decided whilst I was doing the prep work that I may as well carry on and do the lot, so have been painstakingly making holly leaves by hand with the pastry to decorate the top so it looks impressive. I'm quite pleased with the finished results - once I've worked out how to upload pictures from my camera phone, and then set up a flikr account or whatever you need, I'll try to post a picture of it. Hope it tastes as good as the last one did.

I'm in! Thanks pigpen and Toots, soappie and asbo :A

    Eight pages already!!!!

This morning I have cleaned out both furries' cages (and watched in amazement as Pickle managed to climb up the side of the radiator!), put their hammocks in to soak, put one load of washing to dry and another in the WM, bleached the toilet, sorted one pile of papers and piled up a couple of hotspots to deal with this afternoon.

We have had a little rain here so will have to wait and see if it freezes overnight. No sign of any snow ...... yet!! It has gone very dark though :(

    greenbee - hugs x

onestep - fingers crossed the airport stays open; where are you going?

kazm - thinking of you and DH; hugs x

AnW - brilliant news on the win :D

    littlemiss - welcome

It's now so dark, I can't see the keyboard properly - I don't want to put lights on at 2 p.m.!

Need to sort out a list ...............

    Hello all.

Firstly, can I thank everyone who has offered kind words and condolences - I'm sure Ro herself would thank you, if she could.:o I'm drawing on the collective Flylady strength, because I absolutely must hold it together for Mr LW's sake - he's devastated, and spent a lot of yesterday afternoon telling me about how he used to walk her to school, and all sorts of stuff like that; she was 4 years younger than him, y'see. It's all stuff he's told me before at various times, but I figured the best thing was to just let him sit and talk. We also lit a candle for her - it's something I always do at a departure, to light the way.:o Times like this I wish I was better at "emotional stuff" iyswim, as I'm not sure how best to help him through the pain.

Life remains ...er... interesting; I got a call from the lady who runs the dogsitting service for this area, to say that Sidney's humans are stranded abroad - so we've got him for a bit longer; he should've gone home today. I have food and hypodermic needles enough for four days for him, and there's plenty of insulin - but I'm due to have Max to stay on Thursday, so we wait and see what happens.:o

Greenbee (((HUGS))) I don't know if it helps, but someone once told me, many years ago, that "some people just want to stay broken". It was when I was trying to be a good friend to someone else, and they were dragging me down with them; eventually I just had to step away.:( You're a strong lady, I know you'll weather this - pity it's at Xmas though - that's irony for you.

Piggers ta muchly for all the lists - I've copied'n'pasted to my Word document, emboldened the items I actually need to (think about) doing, and will work through as best I can - bearing in mind 1) quite a bit isn't applicable here, and 2) our "celebration" day is the Winter Solstice, which is tomorrow. I'll post the original list with all my notes (some might even raise a laugh or two;)) then edit it to my own needs in Word.:o

    Monday Mayhem..
