and I still darent ask if he has to do it again tomorrow. I take it your mum is safely home now ETA just reread the bit about her home - doh! are they driving down next time?
Hope DH isn't too shattered by the time he gets back.

Got home from work tonight to find DH had a phone call from Asda to say they wouldn't be delivering my order tomorrow because the roads are too dangerous. That's the same Asda about a mile from where I work. OK for me apparently.....
So we will now have to go food shopping. I haven't done a full food shop for about 3 years! Will have to be Christmas Eve, DH working until then and I work in the evenings so we can't do it then. Should be fun.0 -
Technically Boxing Day is Monday this year as 26th is Sunday.
And if anyone else starts the thread I will be most offended!
You really think anyone would we will all be keeping our heads down on the off chance that you discover the Christmas sherry and forget to start a new thread and we all get a day off!!!!!:p0 -
Pollybear I think most have cancelled orders, good luck with the shop, think I'll be finishing off then too in addition to farm shop
Juliejim lots of thoughts on the way to your house, poor little DS being scared and big hugs for you too x
Triker hope you manage to organise your day off
Lamewolf hope you have a good evening, I agree with triker about the box
Well all stopped oops, we had tea then watched xmen with the kids.... So done nothing else, well actually I did, I wrote a list.....a scary list of what we still need to do. Don't think we're going to end up with no decorations up at this rate ... But hey ho the house is looking better in those 2 rooms which has given me hope
Ok 'sh*tylink' told me today that since my parcels arrived with them at the local depot in Durham on the 13th of December they have sat in one of the several containers that WILL not be opened before Christmas so the presents in there, which includes DS1s main presents will not be arriving. I have offered to collect them to be told the collection point is closed and there are no plans to reopen it before Christmas. Please if you're waiting for parcels like I was, check, as like me you might be waiting for them to never turn up on timeso I have to go shopping ....at some point this week, to replace them all. Stupid amazon won't refund it because it's 'in transit' to me which is double annoying as they won't even start a refund which will take up to 10 days. Upset? Me? Argh!
Right so before I go to bed there is a mountain of laundry on my bed, I think I best go sort it outOne day I might be more organised...........

I'm in this week although joining in late. Its been one of those days where I was ready to commit murder by 10am
I'm already a day behind so I'll try and catch up tomorrow. I have 4 wash loads & an ironing mountain as well as still needing to put the Xmas decorations up  I've never been this late with them in 10 years..
Oh well, I'm doing nothing tonight since its already 11pm and I'm fighting to keep my eyes open. Catch you all in the morningCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Evening all
Wishing a Happy Winter Solstice to Mr and Mrs LW.
Greenbee, Kazm and anyone else in need - sending hugs.
Safe journey to everyone travelling!
I'm in this week - thanks to FCC!
I had a busy day today, but most of it outside the house or on the laptop. Had a look at the budget, went to DS2's nativity, a quick trip to work (still no classlists), drove to Mr A's and finally dropped on DS2's present and the beer offer, followed by Aldi and Mr T. Then picked DS2 up, did an approved food order and got cross about an e-mail from work. Shepherd's Pie made and decluttered, and then I started on fred...
Thornton's order still not arrived  (have phoned/e-mailed them) - I need it for DS2's teachers' presents tomorrow. Also still waiting for DH's present, which was due to arrive today.
Plans for tomorrow:
some marking/plan an assessment
school run
charity shop stuff
go through to work
market in our little town
FLYING
school run
plastic recycling
costco
M'hell with DH (and probably DS2 )
Plan was to spend this week at home, but I've got too much left to sort.
I could ask MIL if she can have DS2 for the evening and do costco another day... We'll see.
I've got a few things to put on freegle, so I best get that done now. I could do with a garage to store carp so I don't have to get rid of everything now.

Well quite proud of myself, DETERMINED to achieve Natty's goal which is to be organised and ready by christmas eve.
So despite crackeredness I've manage to do both the stockings, filled and ready to go and wrap the majority of DD1's pressies. DD2's I'll hopefully do tomorrow morning before she gets back from her friends.
I hate wrapping pressies so a big 'ol nasty job on its way to being done.
I've also decluttered some boxes.
I've also managed to freeze my cottage pie mix and my spag bol. Labelled and bagged acordingly and slotted into my newly defrosted freezer with room to spare.
Would really like to pre do my roasts for saturday, if I remember and have time I may do these tomorrow. I may also cook the turkey on friday and reheat in gravy for the saturday, this year I want an easy life.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

MrsChaos my Thorntons order seems to have 'disappeared' too. I've been on the phone to them 11 times now. They said today they would send another out on 48 hour delivery, then got a message saying they can't. Ordered it on the 6th.....so I'm a titchy bit annoyed. 01773838800 is the non 0870 number for them I have been using off my mobile. One day I might be more organised...........
