Eclipse is underway - it happens at 7.40 - it's the first eclipse to coincide with the solstice for 400 years - a once in a lifetime event!!!

Standing in the garden in the frost in the dark is eerie - i thought it was a bit foggyu - but no, it's just the output from everyones central heating!
Anyone else looking at the lunar eclipse? DS is wrapped up and gone outside. I'll be joining him soon :)

Too cloudy down south to see anything :(

Need to brave the cold this morning and get to the post office before my 10am call. So need to dress and sort breakfast ...

Also need to try to get the house warm enough to be able to make chocolates. The ganache is solid, so I can pipe it!

Juliejim lots of thoughts on the way to your house, poor little DS being scared and big hugs for you too x

Thanks Lil-me - he's always been really good - has to have bloods done every 3 months and has them without a fuss but this will be the third time he's had this injection and last time it really hurt as the cream hadn't been on long enough as it wasn't quite in the right place when I put it on so it had to be re-done at the hospital. Hopefully this time it'll be in the right place!

    Morning All,

For those of you able to see the Lunar Eclipse have a look for me too please. Had set my alarm, got up early and we have complete cloud cover so I cannot see a flamin' thing!:mad:
Mind you I was outside at 1am this morning taking a peek at the moon and it was so light and the clouds where all glowing coppery around it. It is also beautifully icy here again this morning so I can enjoy that instead. I guess mother nature has her ways of compensating us.

Not too bad. Had a mass of parcels delivered yesterday so I am very lucky in that everything I need for Christmas has now come and been wrapped up.
Waiting for a new hose for my dryer but that is not essential for Christmas :rotfl:

Anyway I am off to chill with some more coffee and get myself properly woken up,

I was able to sit on the bed in my clutter-free spare room to watch the eclipse. The winter night sky just before Christmas is my favourite anyway. I watched just about all of it although haven't waited to see it appear from the other side. I hope you managed to see it LW what a wonderful start to your celebrations x

Morning all. I slipped down the stairs last night and bashed my right hand on the bannisters. Pain is terrible, can't sleep. Very swollen. Need to go to A&E for an Xray.

    Feeling very sorry for myself:(

  • Hi flygang,

An unexpected snow day here due to DS looking & feeling very off, as well as yet more snow - fetching panda eyes on paper white face - and we'll use him as a portable radiator;) Luckily daycamp is insured and they've been very nice & helpful - I'm hoping a day at home resting in the warm should shift it so he can get back for Thursdays party day, and maybe tomorrow, he does love it so.

Right, best see what DH's day is, then sort myself a list or two - may as well be doing useful things around cuddling the boy. PenPen I'll join you.

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.
  • i'm in - but mine will be a HHI - haven't touched it for what seems like ages - too busy with school stuff last week and having a bad back at the weekend didn't make me want to iron either.

Back easing - so am giving the ironing a go!

Mumto5 - good luck vibes for a speedy Xray and diagnosis! Soothing pain relieving vibes coming your way!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
