Morning everyone - first day of the holidays for me. So far the boys have acidentally head butted each other and littlest has a nose bleed .

DH is working from home rather than risk a trip to Suffolk, which means I need to keep the boys quiet and out of his way. Both (and DH is just starting) are recovering from nasty colds, so seems unfair to rest of the population to take them out and share the germs so I am goign to have to spend most of today keeping them occupied rather than ignoring them and getting on.

    Critical:

    today:
Find DS2s missing martial arts belt before assessment tonight
Sort clean washing mountain or no one gets dressed tomorrow
Fetch more logs in - everyone else has flu, I just have a cold so it has to be me
    post cards :o

    before friday:
deep clean bathroom and our bedroom
wash all bedding and work out logistics of visitors, etc

Good wishes for those celebrating today
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero
  • I'll keep going too, have

    WM, TD, DW all on
    washing to do rounded up
    HHHI
DS persuaded into 1. breakfast & 2. clothes
    DH shooed out to work

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    Morning all

Just light snow showers here so far today

Happy Winter Solstice to Mr & Mrs Lamewolf
DS and I saw totality :T and DS made a winter equivalent of a crop circle in the frost on the lawn :rotfl:

Very jealous DS woke me at 6:30 I asked if he could see the moon and he said no it is too cloudy, so the reason for waking me was?
In my HHC I have started in the kitchen - tidying, aweeping and mopping floor, but now find I have nothing coming from my hot taps  Anyone any idea what I should do, or where I should look for a frozen pipe?

Could it be that your header tank is frozen/stopcock has been knocked off - that is what caused the same problem for me last year (the later)

juliejim - massive hugs for you and DS, hope the cream does it's magic

Mumof5 I hope A&E is not full due to ice falls, hugs for you

Lil_me and everybody else awaiting parcels delivery vibes and love for you all

KazM hope you are having a lovely time

PenPen - can I make any log a yule log?

Kaz - hope DH got home safely and the journey had been worth it

Polly sorry you deleivery has been cancelled, I've had a mail warning that mine might be (it is for tomorrow)

Refuse collection cancelled due to weather - funny how all the delivery vans etc are about but not serco

Just going to check bank accounts and then a shower so hoping to start the flying at 10:00

Mumto5 - ouchy! Hope you get your hand sorted really quickly xx
Juliejim - hope all goes well with your little one. How is your puppy dog settling in? I currently have two heads on my knee trying to tell me they need love and attention as they never get any!

Is anyone else having a problem with rocksalt and dogs paws. My two are constantly limping when they go near it. It must be the really sharp grit but stripes is particularly bad and spends most of her walk limping.

This morning I'm going to sort a few hotspots in the main bedroom and start to sort out DD's room. They've kept their rooms quite good lately so I don't mind helping out.

I'm staying in all day today. It's my annual stay in for all the neighbours post day. Last year I got about 15 parcels delivered. Makes me feel popular even though none of it is for me:rotfl:.

Off to check emails, do daily banking and then make a start upstairs. Have a good day xx

Lots of love to Tootles, LL and Diva xx
