ok thanks very much for your help
how much will my payments be down by? any idea?

Well if you take how much is left in your award to pay, and deduct the amount you received as 'extra', and then divide the amount still to be paid by the number of weeks left in the claim......then you should have your answer as to how much your future payments will be.0

It's only an advance that will be clawed back in reduced payments over the next couple of months, not a bonus - so budget wisely.
Get what you are saying AM but this has been a looooonnnggg month...I have to confess I was kinda hoping for an extra payment and I could have budgeted accordingly for any reduction!!!:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I had the letter before xmas and an extra payment has gone into my account this morning, its about £9 less than my normal weekly ammount.
To be honest it couldn't have come at a better time as we've been left really short this week after a power cut for the whole weekend (so had to pay out for take aways, torches, batteries, throw alot of food away etc).0 -
I got my extra payment today and it was £10.0

Confused about all this. We didn't get the letter, but today not our payday we got a huge extra payment. Double our normal payment at over £400?
Not sure if I will get a payment on thurs as normal as well. Was waiting for thurs to order something online, so can order it early and put the rest into savings to spread it out. Just odd we got such a high amount and didn't get the letter.
No changes in circumstances.
Been an odd year as part on earnings then Oh was made redundant in October. Hopeful he will be back in work before April so will have to get things reviewed again-CTC computer will probably blow up lol.
Anyone else had a big payment?

I got a extra payment last week as i previously mentioned. it was for 3 pence less than my weekly amount. 42 pounds something. today back to normal payments its 41.22 so mine hasnt taken off as much as i expected. I was thinking 42/13=£3 odd quid. But it was more like £1.
It doesnt really matter for me as my payments are low anyway so even if they asked for the 40 quid back its not a problem but i did think it was meant to be divided nigh on exact over the rest of the period.0 -

Know what you mean LG! Even in December it's nice when employers pay staff early - but I got paid two weeks early and OH one week early - at least my employer pays us this month one week early so that we have a couple of 'five week' pay periods rather than holding off for six weeks and then paying again four weeks later in Feb. Hubby wasn't quite so good at it - blew his whole 'early' pay spending money and didn't even leave himself petrol money to get to work for the month of January - how bl**dy irresponsible was that?0 -
we got the letter waaay back at start of december and we haven't had the extra payment0

as expected my 'normal weekly payment' has dropped by about £6.50 which is what I expected after getting the extra payment last week.0
