No extra payment here yet and I had to ring them today as our income has dropped over £200 a week and I rang 2 weeks ago to let them know and out tax credits have stayed the same
  • Hi im new here, been watching this forum for couple of weeks and not felt the need to join until now. Evry week i have had 184.31. Then payment today is 163.95. I have not had any extra payments or a letter about an extra payment. I rang them last week to let them know my husband had been laid off work so his income has stopped. I cant understand how they are now paying us less with less money coming in? It doesnt seem right. Anyone else had this problem? :wall:

Yes weve always had tax credits, he only had work for 6 weeks, before getting laid off. Before he started work, we got £174 a week as i work part time 20 hours. We have 2 children btw. I told them he started work etc, they put tax credits payments up. Now i tell them he stopped, they put them down by over £20 a week!! Cant beleive it, its all wrong, theyl probably turn around and say i owe them a £1000 or something silly like that. But i havent had no extra payment so i know its not that, unless im due one thats why its lower? Sorry for rambling on. I just find it all frustrating :(

Hi not sure if this will help you any but I was made redundant so had to call tax credits to let them know, 12 days later I recieved an extra payment of £156 Then on my usual pay day I was paid as normal with an extra £6 on top. The payment you recieved might be extra too, give them a ring and they will advise you.
