Payday yesterday and it included 8.5 months back pay (should have been 10 months but working on that one!). It means I've been able to clear my first card of the year - Barclaycard1 :j

    Payments are as follows:
    Barclaycard1 - £896
    HSBC - £80
    Barclaycard2 - £110
    In-Laws - £200

It is also my last Barclaycard2 payment as the 0% interest ends on 8th March but MBNA have offered a 12 month 0% on balance transfers so will be doing that transfer in the next day or so.

Wow... I'm almost down to 3 credit cards. Halifax is next on my hitlist and if my plan stays on track this will be clear in June.

hmm not a great Feb. Mainly due to Daughters 18th, and our table breaking! So money went back on to the credit card so debts didn't fall as quickly as they could have!

Final figures up to and including the 28th Feb (a pretty poor showing tbh) :- £801.24

Will march be any better? I have my doubts.

    My plans for march

-Try and exceed £700 in payments off our debts

-Try and get my wife to buy into this exercise a little more as she has made zero headway in saving some of the household budget and ebaying some bits n bobs that she was going to.

-Try and kickstart my GOILing again as after a good start to the year, I have started to slow and lose enthusiasm again. My float after withdrawels in Feb going towards debts, is down to £1300, so I would like to see that at least grow (less any further withdrawels) to £1600 by the end of March! So I need to make £300 in the month (Jan to 28th Feb was £800) which should be achievable, just need to try a bit harder than I have in the last week or two.

    YES!
We seem take two steps forward one step back. Then two steps forward two steps back!

It seems that all my hard work in earning extra cash is being ploughed into overspending more than at debt repayment!!

Went to Ikea the other day for a cheap £30 table that we desperatley needed, then spent over a hundred on things we do kind of need but could live without for the time being. Such as shelving and a new computer chair to replace our old knackered one.

    It is frustrating!

    £70 to Halifax today.

Logged onto Barclaycard and the payment has been received so the card has officially been cleared.

I have now updated my clearance plan this evening and it's starting to look shorter :j

Payment has also been received on Barclaycard2 and the £4455 remaining on there is in the process of going to MBNA.

I've updated my signature to include the BT fee and small (few hundred) balance on the MBNA card so I haven't quite cracked the £10k barrier this month as I hoped. Definitely be happening with March's pay though...

Well have had no internet for a week now and am just about coping with the withdrawal symptoms from not being able to check the internet banking on a daily basis.

Need to go an update my spreadsheet and see where I am but am pleased with progress so far.

Hope everyone ok out there. xx
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...

ok things are not going well, started OK!

Paid off an additional £522 this month on various things so far. But now our washing machine has died, so off to get a new washing machine soon! In laws lent us £350 for this, so at least it won't go on the credit card, but its put a dent in my debt reduction plan some what. I am hopeing to get a machine somewhat cheaper than £350 though.

    :/
