£325 to MBNA this week and now all done this month until payday in 10 days time.

This week I got another 0% offer from Virgin till March 2012 and for the first time in over 3 years I don't need to tart :D

Everything I owe is already on 0% and will be paid before interest is charged. It was a nice feeling putting the letter on the recycling pile.

Is it too late for me to join this thread? I have been silent for a number of months - exams and then my motivation seemed to disappear but I am keen to get back and pay off what is left this year.

    Thank-you.

How exciting.. am already feeling motivated. I think I am going to try and pay off all my debt and then the remainder will go towards savings. Though having said that, I feel like I have some catching up to do, having only joined now. But at least I am feeling motivated again, I had lost my way somewhat.

    :)

Ok, well I have paid my first payment on this challenge - £25 to Barclaycard where I have about £290 left to pay off. Horrid amount of interest being charged - about 25%. On hospital placement at the moment so have already got my flask ready to make coffee in the morning. The one thing I hate about my placements are the obscene charges for coffees (about £2 a cup) and car park charges (about £6 day). That's £10 spent before my day has even started - my purse weeps at the thought. Anyway, am a wee bit closer to getting my debt cleared so mustn't grumble too much..

Things are going a bit slowly at the moment for me but I'm still plodding along. I've paid off another £647 since my last update to make a total of £1,997 so far this year. Hopefully there should be a bit more to come before the end of the month so long as I behave myself :p

Payday yesterday so £80 to HSBC.

Got a nightmare of a financial month coming up. What about this for a list of "events" before and just after next payday.

    26th Mar Hen night
    1st Apr DS1 7th birthday
    3rd Apr Mother's Day
    5th Apr Brother's birthday
9th Apr Stag night (for DH rather than me!)
    14th Apr Friend's birthday
    18th Apr Niece's birthday
    18th Apr Brother-in-law's birthday
    18th Apr Sister-in-law's birthday
    18th Apr Goddaughter's birthday
    23rd Apr Mum's 60th birthday
    24th Apr Friend's birthday
    24th Apr Easter Day
    27th Apr Friend's birthday
    1st May Wedding

Nightmare, nightmare, nightmare. If I can make any headway into the debt this month it will be a miracle.

Bearing in mind we've also had a family wedding this year and it's my father-in-law's 60th birthday in August, this year is not a cheap one. Roll on 2012!!!

More updates to come next week once my statements for Halifax and MBNA arrive.

Hope everything is going well for everybody else :)
