    Hi All,

Haven't been on the site for eons but need to get focused on sorting my debts so that I can start saving for a mortgage. £11k in 2011 sounds like a great place to start :-). This will almost clear my debts if I manage it. Total debt stands at £14660 give or take a few pennies. This includes the new car (£3000) as my old one died 2 weeks ago.

Let the fun begin! So far this year I've managed to clear £93.04.
  • I know i haven't posted since the challenge started. I have made some progress, not a large amount, but anything is better than nothing. However, i haven't calculated my total yet, so will get back to you on that one....

Anything IS better than nothing! Good attitude. Good luck and let us know how you do.

I've now paid my loan for this month which is another £181.94 so am off now to update my signature with my total. xx
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...

Ok a bit late but i'll join in this little devil, will be quite tough to say the least!

However, I have kind of been doing this anyway

My figures for Jan will be somewhat light, but that doesn't mean i cant accelerate!!

Jan figure would be a poor - £190.92
Feb to Date is a much improved - £720.50 so far (should hit £1000 this month I think)

That can be improved upon I am sure, we need to get into the mindset of paying off debts as a priority and to use our initiative to get extra cash and save money a liitle more. Currently my OH makes her budget stretch as far as she can and is doing a fine job because in 2011 she has avoided going over budget! And I always try to make us some extra cash on top of our normal earnings, we both just need to do more!
    I am a Numpty
You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Numpty, so you need to take my word for it. Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as good advice.

  • Hello everyone,
Updating my totals for Feb another £338.14 paid between credit cards x2, DFS (only 3 to go!!!) and wee overpayment of £16.94 to Halifax cc. Sold my Ipad got £450 for it so am delighted with that, used it to service car and buy 2 new tyres though, so didnt go towards debts, but at least saved adding to totals. Am working with census this March too, so will have another £750 to add (which will pay for telly bnpl!) am feeling ok, do get a bit down at times though, its hard work this debtbusting. Hoping to put some more stuff on ebay as well to boost my totals up a bit. Keep up the good work everyone ;)
