Hello everyone. After failing so spectacularly last year to achieve my targets I need the motivation to try again so please count me in.

I should have got to £6k last year but things didn't work out quite as planned but I'll go all out for the £11k this year and see where I get to.

Corona007, don't feel bad, we actually went backwards (me and Mr Banwa that is). We bought a new car, new telly and had two holidays :oso right now we are actually in more debt than we were this time last year. Not to worry, we'll just start again...

    £874 so far for us.

It's lovely 'seeing so many familiar faces' again:D

Hi Banwa. It is tougher than it looks this debt clearance isn't it!

I've just been doing my expenses and am shocked to find I am so far behind - I'm owed over £1,200 from work that I haven't claimed back yet. So that is my first line of attack and hopefully I'll get that repaid and cleared off my AMEX card before the end of the month. That'll make a good start for 2011 :)

Hi Skaps, would love to join the challenge and would like to go for the £11k. That will be a third of the way to debt free, woop woop (am including my student debt so that it doesn't sound quite so bad!).

Good luck, everyone :) I'll do my best to share any creative ideas (usually the best occur after a glass or two of vino).
  • Just thought Id pop in and say Hi.

I can't post an update yet but have been eBaying fiercely this month so hopefully come 31st I should have moved a healthy amount.

Hope its going well for all of you

Don't worry i think alot of us are waiting for the end of the month before we can shift any more of our debt. January is always a long month.

    Hello everyone:wave:

Good news from the Banwa household, my long long LONG -awaited payrise is finally going to happen. I think it'll be about 4k extra a year, so am hoping to smash right through the 11k mark. I will get it in Feb backdated to Jan, so my Feb total should be good.

Chin up, we're more than half way through the misery that is January.

    Happy Banwa:j
