Well done everyone so far.
I can't wait to see the back of January. It has been long and frustrating and I've still got a week to go before pay day when I can make my first proper re-payments of the year
I have had £1000 back from work for expenses which I promptly paid off my AMEX card but in the mean time I've spent another £1,200 on work trips which means I'm now owed over £1,500 again. This is not how it is supposed to work
So sadly the net result is I've only repaid £55 so far

My first update for the year, I've paid £933 so far. I was hoping to pass the £1,000 barrier for January but I'm still pleased with this.Proud to be dealing with my debtsSnowball Calculator DFD October 2014 - I'll do whatever it takes to become debt-free much, much sooner!0

Jan so far, £685 as I included the £200 brought over from the end of Dec to make my totals even![/QUOTE]
My total so far for Jan is now £765, trasferred £80 from my second job wages today. I hoped that would be more but had a little spending mishap the other day! On well, still a great month for me, the others won't be quite as high!
Hope Jan is going well for everyone0 -
Hi all, after spending too much decorating (at least it adds value to my house) I only managed to pay off £562.33 in Jan.
My car was written off at the weekend, to replace it Ive bought a newer one with warranty which has cost me more than I wanted to pay right now, but I knew my car would need replacing within a year or two and at least I have peace of mind now as I need a reliable car for work.
The Up shot is Im almost back to square one with debt repayments and hoping that my insurance money comes through ASAP! It also means that Im going to really struggle to reduce my debts by 11K this year when theyve just gone up by 6K! I will keep trying and if it wasn't for this challenge or MSE I wouldn't even have the motivation, so keep up the good work.

Oh no Sally! What happened to your car? Are you ok?
Try and keep your chin up though, as hard as it may seem right now you will make dents in the debts in a way you might not have done before.
And £562 is nothing to sneer at, be proud of every achievement! xxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Woo hoo, January has gone. I'm still waiting for pay day but I have just had some more expenses back (and not spent more in the mean time
) so I've just been able to pay some more off my AMEX card.
So I'm finally off the mark with £528 re-paid so far in 2011.
