Well done! I love my bm and use it loads - rarely buy bread now. I also use it to make pizza dough and jam, so I really get my moneys worth! Hope you have many happy years making bread lol!0

:j I've gone BM mad since getting mine a week ago. I've become a real bread snob, the taste is incomparable IMO.
Also made chelsea buns and pizza's, well done on your first loaf.:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

I've just started at Slimming world and the book says what bread I can eat. I'm now stuck coz I can't stand the tast of shop-bought anymore. Does anyone know of a recipe that can be used alongside slimming world?0

I belonged to SW briefly - I though you could have whatever you want within reason, as long as it is counted? I would estimate syns based on a comparison with standard shop-bought. Just weigh the HM bread. 1 slice standard bread = 3 syns? So count 1oz HM bread as 3 syns? Check with your class manager, but I'm sure I remember they said that HM food is the best way to get the most out of the diet, when I belonged...0 -

i use half and half of the basic white plain flour from tesco, with tesco's strong white flour, and my loaves always seem to turn out fine......one tip tho.....i'd leave out the dried milk when making the bread cos it makes it taste a bit cakey.
