The result was more like air than bread!! I'm presuming this was because I didn't use strong flour-altho it does seem more denser this morning. Plus it had sunk at the top thou this could have been because i left it in there until 11.30pm (went to pub after lecture hic)

Hi all
Just a quick post to say I have made the hot cross buns today following the recipe in the booklet. The dough gives enough for about 10 good size buns. I am hoping to freeze a few.......although they are going fast, don't know if there will be any left to freeze.

Made the fruit cake today, I won't bother using the BM in future though, it isn't great at cakes and it would have been 100x easier to do the old fashioned way! I've also just made pizza dough and that looks great.0

I use my fastbake quite alot. I have found that using fresh ingredients far better than buying the prepared bread mixes you can buy. I also use coffee whitener when I don't have any milk powder in and it turns out fine.
Fruit bread is just fab!!!0 -
The stainless steel breadmaker has gone back up to £39.99, but the Compact breadmaker has been reduced from £39.99 to £24.99. It's vey similar to the ss one but makes slightly smaller loaves which are ideal for a small family."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0
