This is fate, I just mentioned to my OH that I was going to buy another breadmaker, as mine is working properly now, (I can't get it off the advanced timer) I then opened my overnight email from MSE and there it is ~ your posting for Breadmaker. Thank you very much for posting this ~ I've ordered ~ so I will be happy again making bread.0 -
I've made dough twice now, once pizza dough and the other for rolls. Both times the dough has been really, really wet. I've been following the recipe to the letter and have always had great success with bread but not with the dough. Any ideas what could be going wrong? I know I could reduce the amount of liquid I use but any idea by how much?

Try reducing by 20ml or so. Even easier is to add a little more flour, a teaspoon sprinkled over the dough when still being mixed, works well."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

just made the maderia cake recipe from the booklet and it is yummy except i added white choc chips and they've sunk to the bottom and burned, but the actual cake itself is really nice.Other women want a boob job. I made the white bread roll recipe from the booklet today using BOGOF Homepride bread flour & Dove's yeast. The recipe said it made 6 rolls & they were huge!!! Will split it into 8 next time.
Also made a small fastbake last night which turned out brilliantly in less than an hour (although I did brown the top in the oven for 5 mins as it was a bit pale.)
Definitely my tastiest & most successful efforts in the Fastbake BM so far.:j New Year, New You = 1.5lb/12lb:j0 -

I just bought a Morphy Richards Fastbake, but ordered it before I saw the offer above  Never mind, it just arrived and I can't wait to try it out! Got my flour, dried milk, yeast (Allinson Easy Bake in a little square block?) and going to have a go at a white loaf.
Keeping everything crossed!!!!0
