I really think that this thread should be closed or deleted. It's not funny anymore, and treading on dangerous ground.
Someone who genuinely has problems could be getting put off asking for help due to this debacle.
Completely agree.
Just a shame that the Board Guide for this section hasn't been online on here since 11 Nov 20100 -

I read thro this and thought it was funny at first. You are unable to see what is under your nose and just keep repeating that everybody else is wrong. But I have now changed my mind. If this is a "real" thread, and not something you have made up on a slow day at work, I think you have some real issues to look at, none of which are about money.
You have no friends.
You do not have a strong, ongoing, truthful relationship with your partner.
You are not able to look after your children.
You are unable to accept advice.
You cannot see the real world for what it is.
You sound very depressed and unwell.
I could go on, but wont because I'm sure you get the drift.
Please get yourself some expert help, and not the money kind. Do you see CPN or any health professional at all? Do you have access to any sort of counselling thro work? Would you at least talk to your GP?
I am sure that you are a very intelligent and capable man, but at the moment, you have a few problems and money is not the one you should be worrying about.
I also think this thread should be closed, it is not helping you or anuone who is in need of advice.LBM-2003ish

I have read this this thread with increasing horror. If the OP is a troll then he is sick. If he isn't a troll he needs help - psychological and financial. Nothing is getting through although many kind people have posted exhaustively to try and help.
I agree with the poster who said this is getting dangerous. I think the board guide should consider closing the thread.
If there is really a wife/ partner and children out there then I hope to God someone helps them.0 -
Face. Wall. Smash. Repeat.
I agree 100%. How the hell can I budget or know where my money is going when every time I log into my online banking I see a new charge or a collection attempt is made for a bill which I don't have the money for as that little £100 stupid payday loan which I was able to apply for by replying to a text message has been paid back. I agree 100%. In fact, thats what i said from the start. Thats why I posted how an SOA could look with the loan. It might change but I would at least get the chance to put one together when I know I only have ONE DEBT REPAYMENT TO MEET EACH MONTH.
We have told you how to address this issue.- Open a NEW bank account - a basic one without overdraft or cheque book.
- Get your salary paid into that account and move across your "priority" debts (mortgage, council tax, electricty/water/tv license/etc)
- Cancel ALL of the direct debits on your old account (to avoid bounced direct debit charges from your bank!).
- Write to your lenders - tell the your circumstances and inform them that you are setting up a DMP with [CCCS/Payplan] (delete as appropriate) and include a £1 token payment
- Do NOT pay anything else to your creditors - the debts are unsecured, just leave them be
- Contact [CCCS/Payplan] and work out a budget with them. The budget will allow for your "normal" living expenses and the rest of your money will be given to [CCCS/Payplan] who will then distribute it pro rate to your unsecured creditors.
My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.

I agree with littleowl and sazzybum, at first I thought Ciscokid was winding us all up, now I feel genuinely sorry for him and urge him to get some professional help of the counselling/therapy nature.
Ciscokid, no one on here is happy that you are suffering, although your responses may have frustrated some people I'm sure what everyone wants is for you to regain control of your life, your mental state and ultimately your finances.
Please stop posting on here, it's getting you nowhere, and go to your GP to find out about some counselling.
And I agree this thread should be shut down as I don't think it's doing ciscokid any good and may well be psychologically harming for him to read all the negative comments.0 -

You truly are 'not right'.0 -
JulieGeorgiana, is there any particular reason you keep going through "thanking" all the nasty comments in this thread?0

Ciscokid - I am concerned not about your financial state but about your state of mind. I think you really really need to see someone about your mental health. I don't think you are coping.

I had a quick idea on m ybus journey home about this deal I would be willing to strike with someone. Why not take the 20k loan, then come to this message board, and find out how you can get the 20k loan written off, by paying £1 month or an IVA/Bankrupt etc. That way you still receive £24,372 in your bank from me over 5 years, if you invested it well it could potentialy be much more, your bankruptcy will have expired by that time, you'll be free to borrow as much money as you like, and you will have close to 25k to do as you wish with. Of course I couldn't condone such madness, but its a creative idea from the start, why not take it that one step further? :rotfl:
If I hadn't have taken a risk back in 2002 I wouldn't have received a cheque in 2007 for £50,000. Of course, the risk I took in 2002 involved me walking into a store and purchasing £3000 worth of goods when I had no job (BUT a good credit record, thats all that counts...) I did eventually get a job but lost that through unfortunate circumstances (company went under), I didnt know anything about bank charges or APR or fees and just ignored my debts, although I had been to my bank to tel them i had lost my job and was looking for a loan to pay off the existing debt and provide a cushion while i found a new job (there loan with 2 month payment holiday sounded just the ticket), they literally laughed in my face. If the bank had taken me a bit more seriously, who knows where my life would be now, I can assure you of one thing however, I would not be sitting here whining.0
