Ciscokid - I am concerned not about your financial state but about your state of mind. I think you really really need to see someone about your mental health. I don't think you are coping.

Please call samaritans on 08457 90 90 90 - it is 2p of a landline but you can call a local branch off your mobile which may be included in your plan if you have free mins. linky

I don't think thats very funny.

you've gone a bit Walter Mitty there.

Stop asking questions if you only want advice you agree with.

I agree with the others - Samaritans or mental health support team.

JulieGeorgiana, is there any particular reason you keep going through "thanking" all the nasty comments in this thread?

OK - you've invented reasons for not moving your DDs (the costs?!! Most companies don't charge for changing DD details)

But, on top of that, you've called my "advice" moronic. So, in light of that - I leave this thread and leave you to neglect your family and responsibilities to them.

I no longer care what happens to you - but will still wish you good luck in sorting this out.

    Bye.
My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.
They are not a substitute for professional financial advice - but you knew that already didn't you? ;)

I lost someone very close to me to suicide when I was 15, and it hurts me to this day. If you find joking about suicide funny then I think you're the one that needs help.

I find it very ironic that everyone is calling me a troll when this thread is full of them...

If one person calls you a horse, ignore them.

If 2 people do, have a wee peak in the mirror.

If 3 people do, go buy yourself a saddle.

    Bye.

I have called it moronic because its not YOUR advice, its old advice and its BAD advice. I tried this great idea and look where it got me.

Where it got me was stuck with a bad credit record and being unable to consolidate a list of debt at an APR ranging from 30-3000% to a sensible debt with sensible APR and understandable repayment structure. I would NEVER advise anyone to miss payments. NEVER

As for the DD's...look I don't make this stuff up. MAYBE IT ONLY HAPPENS TO ME...but every company I phoned and asked to change the date of my direct debit told me there would an administartiave cost in the region of £30.... multiply that across the various direct debits I have....again, maybe it only happens to me, maybe the reason they hide the computer screen from me in the bank is because theres a sign up that says "MAKE THIS GUYS LIFE HELL".... of course thats just silly but it would at least explain one or two things...
