I'm glad its all clear for you in Glasgow but it certainly isn't in Edinburgh, probably because we also had snow for the week before you did as well as the bad snow last week.
The main roads may be clear now but the side roads and estates where deliveries have to be made are still solid ice and compacted snow.0 -
They've apparently got alot of orders sitting in courier warehouses from the last two weeks, so running out of space probably. I know my M&S order was sitting at DHL Edinburgh for nearly a week, but it was delivered yesterday (Sunday), so they're working round the clock by looks of it to shift all the parcels delayed by the weather. M&S customer services were even surprised I'd even received my order, but I'd tracked it to Edinburgh so knew I'd probably get it as I'm in East Fife.2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017
Weight loss the old style way challenge - 7/14lbs :j0 -
Another one to add to the list, Carphone Warehouse, upgrade sent next day delivery two weeks ago by DHL. They've stopped taking home delivery orders from Scotland until January it seems.
I realise the weather has been bad, but DHL have been next to hopeless about this. Can't get through to anyone, other than a complaints line where the woman seems totally uninterested. All I'm after is a chance to go and collect it, but nobody seems to be able to help.0 -
is this just for food orders or any off tesco.com website? i think its fair they have let people know, there is nothing worse than ordering something thinking it will turn up, waiting forever for it to do so and then it doesnt.
have to say apart from post and a certain thorntons order. I have been receiving all my deliveries fine, from HDNL, home delivery network. I actually received a order today that i made on thursday so well impressed they are making the effort to get down my street as its like an ice block still :-)0 -
Getting a bit worried as did most of my xmas shopping online and now thinking that some of it at least probably isn't going to come. Bit surprised it seems to be so bad as we had snow around this time last year and don't remember there being these kind of problems with the post. I live down a side street and is mainly clear now as well as the side street where I work and most people I know report they can get down their streets now (am in Edinburgh). Even if they advised people they could collect from the depot that would be something. Have horrible visions of being sat there on Xmas Eve with no pressies to give people :O0

I guess I am not surprised.A blanket ban just seems a bit OTT. However my BIL is a postie in Midlothian and says the depot is chaos.
I am just hoping the remainder of my pressies turn up before Christmas.
My street is passable especially since it has been gritted 3 times today! Pavements still dodgy though.:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -

But to decide each order on a case by case basis would be impossible, and would create more complaints from customers who have ordered and then get told a few days later they will not be receiving their goods.Gone ... or have I?0 -
