Loads of snow due over the weekend and all next week, so be prepared for more chaos and backlog :/ I've stopped ordering online now, last bits are all going to be bought from shops or not at all.

  • I've decided not to order anything more online, just not worth it, especially if they can't deliver what we've ordered in the past 2 weeks.

Orders from the 3rd haven't turned up yet, but more recent things turned up quite quickly so they must be giving priority to the recent things. I'm hoping my stuff will turn up soon, need something to wear to my Christmas night out!!
    Top Cash Back: £882
    Boots Card: £160
  • If the posties are not stealing the mail/parcels -then can someone tells me where they go when they are posted but never ever arrive ?
Do they magically vanish/ Evaporate ?
If they are posted out and not received -its a bit odd they suddenly disappear completely !

    damaged items(rendering the addresses unreadable)
    misdelivered
    misaddressed items
how many folks have cards 'go missing' when in truth they are wrongly/incompletely addressed
  • I am talking parcels here -the address has been confirmed as correct
Items are not usually damaged when they leave the company -so who damages them in between ? -oh i remember the tv programme now -its the ones that play football with your parcels!!!

My postie has been delivering here for over 8 years and knows me and my address -she is excellent.

Its the sorting office i think the problems lie with !

well it seems you already have all the answers.
so no point in asking or me answering is there

so no items are ever sent out with the wrong address from any company?
you are making a fool of yourself with that statement.

now i refer you back to your first post.
    I answered your question.
BTW adding "fact!" does not make something a fact.

Its unbelievable the amount of stuff that goes missing -a lot of tea leaves in these parcel depots and royal mail i think .
there probablyt sitting in their nice cosy tea room drinking coffee and eating my chocolates, watching my dvds and reading my books and everyone elses missing stuff !

They should do what they used to do at Argos (maybe still do ) a body search before they go home !

I suppose your previous post contains facts too.

I do hope your parcels arrive soon and you have a Happy Christmas but even more I wish all the delivery people and postmen a safe time while carrying out their job during these extreme weather conditions.

It's a fact that some post goes missing through theft by postal workers, I'm sure even Custardy would admit that, but it's not quite the epidemic that people make out. The one million lost items per week figure is in fact a complete myth, no-one has any idea where that figure came from, but it is very likely to have originated from a sensationlist tabloid story and have no evidence or source to back it up. Truth is that the real figure is probably closer to just under half a million per week.

Edit: put week instead of year.
